"What are you doing?" You asked Law. You came home to find the teen burning a bundle of herbs. You think it was something called saging.

"Perona-ya gave me this sage. She said there was negative energy surrounding us and this should help." Law explained.

"Us?"

"Yeah. She said she noticed it when we brought Bepo-ya to the vet." Law continued to wave the sage back and forth.

"Is that why she asked you on a date? To give you sage?" You asked. You figured she could have told you to buy sage when you were at the vet.

"No. Not completely. We had a good time together." Law mumbled as he shrugged his shoulders. "She said her dad deals in the paranormal and has been teaching her. Perona-ya says if the sage doesn't help, then we can call her dad for help."

"Hmm, we may-"

The lights flickered off and when they turned back on you found yourself in the basement.

"The hell?" You gazed around your basement, Law wasn't anywhere to be seen.

I hope he safe upstairs.

You headed towards the stairs, all the while peaking over your shoulders to make sure nothing was following you. You only stopped when the lights turned off again.

"Play with me."

Penelope whispered right into your ear, you flinched away from how angry she sounded. You tried to locate the stairs in the dark, but there was no windows in your basement, and your eyes were having a hard time adjusting to the darkness.

"I'm not playing with you." You shouted back.

"Play with me! Play with me!"

Penelope started to sound more desperate towards the end, maybe even a little sad. You chose to ignore her as you took a cautious step forward, hoping to find the stairs.

"This isn't how you get people to play with you." You continued to move forward as you tried to calm the angry ghost down. "You can't force people to be your friend, you should try a nicer approach."

"Nice? I've been nice this whole time!"

Something behind you shattered, the basement light flickered on for a second. In that split second you saw Penelope standing in front of you. When the light turned back off you were flung across the room by a strong force. You skidded across the floor, rolling a few times, before your back slammed against the wall.

You coughed as you tried to catch your breath, pain radiated all over your back, and your head was spinning.

"Just play with me."

Penelope's voice echoed throughout the basement. Your head was spinning so much that you couldn't form a proper response. Instead you just slumped against the wall as you tried to collect yourself. Then you started to hear screams, and barking, you were pretty sure it was Law and Bepo.

You tried to move, but your body protested in pain.

"Hmm, we may-"

The lights flickered on and off, when they turned back on you were gone.

"(Y/N)-ya?" Law looked around the living room, but you weren't hiding behind any of the furniture.

Bepo got up from his doggy bed and nudged Law's leg as he let out little whines. Law reached down and patted his dog on the head.

"It'll be fine boy. We'll find her." Law spoke softly to his dog. Whether he was trying to comfort Bepo or himself, he really couldn't tell. He did like you, you made Rosinante happy, you let them move in with you when Doflamingo kicked them out of their house, and you were a pretty good mother figure. You weren't overbearing or demanded him to call you 'mom' like some of Rosinante's previous girlfriends had. Instead you were like a responsible friend that made sure he was taken care of.
