Rosinante woke up in the middle of the night feeling thirsty, he quietly got out of bed as not to wake you. He stepped out of the bedroom and flicked on the hallway light. He made sure to hold onto the stair rail as he went down the stairs, so he wouldn't accidentally fall down them and freak you and Law out.

He walked into the kitchen and turned the light on and grabbed a cup from the cupboard. He filled it with water and leaned against the counter as he sipped his water. Something in the living room caught his eye, he set his cup down and walked over to the living room. He reached out and turned the light on, a startled gasp leaving him when he saw all your dolls back on the shelf.

"Play with me." Penelope's head snapped towards Rosinante, her glassy eyes staring him down.

Rosinante jumped back, his back hitting the wall behind him. He slowly inched his way down the wall and towards the stairs. Penelope kept her eyes in Rosinante, her head following his movement with a sound like cracking glass. When Penelope moved her arm, Rosinante bolted towards the stairs, he missed the first step and went falling backwards.

"Rosi?" You had heard a loud noise downstairs and noticed your blond boyfriend wasn't next to you on the bed. You ventured out of your room and to the stairs where you noticed Rosinante lying at the bottom of them.

"Oh, no. Rosi." You rushed down the stairs and helped him sit up, he let out a groan as he leaned against you. "Did you hurt yourself?"

"No, just got the scare of my life." Rosinante shook his head and pointed towards your shelf. You looked over and were shocked to see all your dolls placed back on the shelf in the exact same spots they had been previously.

"What's going on down there?" Law called out from the top of the stairs.

"Um, Rosi just fell." You were too distracted by your dolls being back to give him a better response. You still heard Law coming down the stairs and standing next to you two, quickly checking over Rosinante.

"What are you two looking at?" Law asked when he noticed both of you were staring somewhere else. He didn't need an answer though, he was quick to notice the dolls back on the shelf. "When did these get back?"

"Don't touch them!" Rosinante quickly yelled out when Law started moving towards the shelf to inspect the dolls.

"Why not?" Law questioned.

"She moved... Penelope moved." Rosinante cast a nervous glance towards said doll.

"You saw her move too?" You gasped. If it had only been you seeing Penelope moving around, you were going to chalk it up to you going crazy.

"Yep, she moved." Rosinante frantically nodded.

"I did say these dolls were creepy." Law sighed.

"Yes, yes, their creepy. Now let's throw them out." You went into the kitchen and grabbed a garbage bag.

"(Y/N), you don't have to get rid of all the dolls, just Penelope." Rosinante felt quilty that he had bought you what was probably a haunted doll, and now it was causing you to get rid of all the other ones.

"It's fine Rosi. I only kept the collection because it's been passed down, I won't feel sad parting with them. Besides we don't know if whatever thing that came with Penelope, hasn't already latched itself onto the other dolls. It's better to be safe than sorry." You went over to the bookshelf and grabbed the journal that was tucked behind some dolls. "I still have this. My mom and grandma kept notes of each doll they got, it's really all I need anyways."

"If you're sure, than let's get rid of these guys." Rosinante gave you a soft smile. He came over and started putting the dolls into the garbage bag along with you and Law. Once the bag was full of dolls, Rosinante took it outside and tossed it into the dumpster out back.

"What are you gonna do with the bookshelf?" Law asked. It was an antique piece, now that the dolls were off of it, you could see that it needed to be repaired in some places.

"I have a friend that's friends with a handyman of all kind of things. I'll see if he can fix it up, than I guess we can put books and other knick knacks on it." You replied with a yawn.

"It's time to get back to bed." Rosinante chuckled when he came back in and heard you yawning. He put his hands on your shoulders and moved you towards the stairs. Law followed behind you two, also wanting to get back to sleep and making sure Rosinante didn't fall down the stairs.

"Not looking at dolls today yoi?" Marco came over to your desk holding a tray of coffees. He grabbed one and set it down on your desk.

"Thank you. And no, I got rid of my doll collection." You replied.

"Why? I know you said you didn't like them much, but you kept them because they were a family heirloom yoi." Marco leaned against your desk, Newgate still wasn't back from sick leave, so Marco had taken to chatting with you daily, he didn't care what it was about.

"Do you..." You hesitated for a moment, what you were about to tell him would sound crazy to most. But this was Marco you were talking to, he was very open minded and liked to hear people out before he passed his own judgments. "Do you believe in ghosts?"

"Ghost? I've never seen one, but so many people have their own stories about their experience with them, that I can't deny they don't exist yoi." Marco shrugged.

"Okay, so you won't think I'm crazy when I say one of dolls I had was haunted?" You softly chuckled.

"Nope, unless you really are going crazy yoi." Marco teased.

"I'm not, I swear." You told him all about the stuff that started happening once you got Penelope, and how you almost thought you were going crazy until Rosinante saw her move as well.

"Dolls always gave me a creepy vibe in general yoi. To think you actually had one that moved around is like creepiness personified." Marco shuddered. You were glad he wasn't being judgy about your little ghost haunting.

"It was. I'm relieved I got rid of my dolls." You nodded.

"Same here. You're the best secretary Pops has ever had, it'd be terrible if something bad happened to you. Anyways I should go hand out the rest of these coffees before they get any colder yoi." Marco picked up the tray of coffees he had set on your desk and took his leave.

You turned back to your computer screen, going back to the minimal work yoi had to do. You sure hoped Newgate got better soon, you were bored at the office having almost nothing to do. The company phone on your desk started ringing and you quickly picked it up.

"Hello, you've reached Newgate industries, how can I help you?" You said the same thing you always said when you got a phone call. It could be an employee on another floor calling, but you had to answer like this in case it was a client or potential client.

"..."

"Hello? Is someone there?" You were about to hang up when no replied, thinking this was a prank call.

"Play with me."

You tensed up hearing the voice on the other end of the phone speak. It sent chills down your spine, the air around you started to feel cold.

"W-we got rid of you. Go play with someone else." You slammed the phone down on the receiver. You leaned your elbows against your desk, your hands cupping your face as you hoped Penelope would leave you alone.
