Weird old lady scurried in with her cane and grabbed a report sheet, ignoring the presence of the detective who quickly hurried off. I wondered why that was. I was surprised at what the detective said and was honestly shitting myself as to what is going to happen, she'll probably punish him again, not that he doesn't deserve it, of course he does. He went out at night and got attacked by a villain, which resulted in a detective questioning him. I could have revealed their secret and no way in hell would Mistuki let that happen.
"Dearie, you back in the of the land of the living?" She was very close to me suddenly, waving a hand in my direction, i startled, gazing at the lady with mixed emotions, one of which was anger; why does he always show fucking weakness? Like seriously, is everything she is doing in vain? No, he can't let her efforts go to waste.
"What."
Aizawa decided to take over as there was a very distinct mood shift, he had done psychology enough to know that there was more going on then what he was told, why had the boy first panicked? Why did the detective's questions not work as they were supposed to? Loads of things racked through his head.
"She just wants to check you over, it's a standard procedure, it's just your height, BMI etc, we can stay in the room if you would prefer."
The kid stared at him for a while, seemingly to search for something that wasn't there, when he was happy he scoffed but nodded his head anyway, his gaze still flickered between the three of them but he guessed that was a yes to staying.
Recovery Girl got to work, noting down things as she went, she asked him to take his shirt off so they could measure his heart rate and blood pressure, he put up a bit of a fight but when threatened to get the detective again he complied well enough. He had a few odd scars which he blamed on his quirk. Saying it was when he was a kid and couldn't use his quirk properly. She soon finished up and turned to the boy with a small frown.
"Boy, you're a growing man, you need way more nutrients than what you are having, if you keep going on like this your brain will not properly develop. Which at your age is very important, how come you aren't getting enough food in you?"
Hizashi perked up at this, he had a lot of knowledge in his area, especially because as a kid he also struggled with eating, he signalled to recovery girl that he would take it over, he was sure the kid had enough of the judgemental old granny.
"Do you have food available at home?"
"Yeah i guess so"
"You guess...?" He tried to be as gentle as possible, he knew the kid was pretty unpredictable so he had to be as cautious as possible, they didn't know the kid well they only knew that he's just gone through a very traumatic experience.
"Look sometimes i just fucking forget okay?"
The kid looked anywhere but him. The kid wiped his hands on his trousers to try to decrease the amount of sweat on his hands he guessed. He looked pretty stressed right now but it was standard to ask questions in situations like this so they weren't really in the wrong...although he definitely felt in the wrong. He remembered using the same excuse as well, he saw himself a lot in the kid actually, aside from the snide remarks.
"That's fair, Sho does that all the time! Just need to try remembering kiddo, maybe set a timer so you remember"
The person in question just let out a grunt, he seemed pretty dang tired after all this questioning, not like he can really blame the kid, a lot had gone on and his mind probably needs to let it all sink in.
"Your Mother will be here in around 10 minutes."
Bakugo paled a little at that, he nodded and jumped off the bed again, he searched the room before looking resigned and headed out the door, but just before he could open it a hand landed on his shoulder and a backpack and a piece of paper was passed to him, he gratefully took both items with a nod of approval to the blond man, a different hand replaced Present mics and he was guided out the room by Aizawa, a firm grip but one that made him feel a bit more at ease than he was before, at least he met a few nice people before he died.
Stepping out onto the gravelled pavement he saw the black SUV parked by the gates, and a scowling Mitsuki leaning against the car. A squeeze on the shoulder brought him back and he was soon handed off to his mother. Apparently Eraserhead wanted to talk to his mother about councelling in UA, hah as if she will ever agree to that, she will call this a fucking learning experience, well it is, but not the fucking point.
Currently working on the next chapter, should be out soon next week!
