Time's running out

~(Y/n)'s POV~
I woke up not long ago. I was finally back to life, awake, and.... Still in my bed. The realisation that prom was coming up hit me, and I still didn't have anything to go in. I probably should have spent my time going to look for something but... could I be asked? Besides - money... how on EARTH. Will I ever get that type of money.
With a sigh, I sunk back into my pillow, no notifications coming from my phone as I looked at my wall - being my lazy self.

~(Kellin's POV)~

The second week rolled around, and I had nothing to do but sit around, school was off the table until September. So the only thing I had left to do is sit in my bed and scroll mindlessly through my phone as short videos stimulated my mind. But at some point that wasn't enough. I sighed as I closed TikTok, looking at the variety of other apps installed on my phone before landing on a similar yellow one, again. I opened Snapchat just to get jumpscared by my own face, before clicking onto the search bar at the top to get rid of it. As usual my eyes glossed over the recommended people in my quick-add, usually, I didn't talk to strangers online - but desperate times call for desperate measures. Mindlessly I  clicked onto the first person to come up, waiting to be added back. To my surprise it was almost instant. I would be a liar if I said I was comfortable, but getting out of my shell might just be what I need before starting college.

I watched as the new chat popped up, contemplating saying hi, but as my thoughts played out the other person beat me to it. 'Hey?' quickly, I replied. 'hi :)'.

~(Y/n)'s POV~

I watched as the little black-haired bit-moji popped up on my screen, and then went away again. 'Who are you?' I asked, slightly skeptical as I looked at my screen. It hadn't been the first time some random person added me, and things didn't always go well. 'Kellin' I furowed my brows, something about that name rung some bells but I was still tired and my brain refused to be of any help. 'You?'. I quickly started typing.

'I think I've heard tht name before?'
'oh?' '
'Hold up'

I quickly looked to the top of our chat, to see that the person was sharing their location, and I realised that it was in fact my town, which came as a shock to me. Believe it or not it's rare for people near me to find my snap.

'Okay..'

I waited for a few seconds before that familiar format popped up, and when I clicked on it I was met with a familiar face and familiar black hair. Haha no way.
