Hawks was growing more and more nervous when he and dabi were walking to what seemed to be the lov's secret hideout. Dabi took him though a couple doors before they got to the main part, hawks hid behind dabi when they entered the main area of the hideout, there was a lounge area and a bar in the room.
"Hey crusty I brought a new member, I'm sure you'll find him quite useful" dabi said looking at his boss who was sitting at the bar.
Shigaraki looked over at dabi "For the last time, stop bringing in these useless wannabe villains, you've wasted enough time searching for them, we need to figure out how to get-" Shigaraki cut himself off when he saw the winged man step out from behind dabi, his jaw nearly fell off his face. "Are you insane! Why the hell did you bring a hero here! What if he tells the other pros!" Shigaraki yells getting up from his seat, he was growing angry.
"He won't, he had the chance to call the other pros where we met and he didn't, plus i checked his phone he told no one" dabi said lying about the phone part.
Shigaraki grit his teeth. "Fine, but on one, no two conditions, hes fully your problem and two if he betrays us I'll kill you"
"Whatever sweetheart" Dabi jokingly says
"Stop calling me that you dumbass" shigaraki sighs
"But you like when i call you that, sweetheart" dabi chuckles then winks at shigaraki
Shigaraki left his room and slammed the door behind him. Hawks just fakely smiled as he stood there, he felt jealous? It was odd he didn't think he liked dabi that much but to see him call his boss that enraged hawks with jealousy. Dabi's mood changed when he looked at hawks. "You better be true to your word, you may leave and go to your own place or you can stay where we have an extra room, your choice, i would just leave so you look less suspicious to your hero friends" dabi said calmly but yet aggressively. Hawks just nodded and he was still contemplating his feelings.
"I'll just go home" hawks said rather coldly without meaning to. He turned around and left the building he didn't bother memorizing the address it wasn't important plus he didn't want to seem suspicious, he just remembered the general area, then took off to his apartment.once he got to his apartment and sat on his bed, he was thinking about what he felt, then he started coughing hard, it was alarming, he got up and ran to the bathroom and he went over the sink he then coughed up a glob of blood then he coughed more, and more blood came out and a small bright blue flower petal was floating in the deep red and slightly metallic liquid, hawks was scared, he stood there staring at the petal. After a while of staring he turned onto the sink watching the blood and petal wash down the sink, he then splashed his face and clean the blood around his mouth, he walked out the bathroom still spooked and a bit out of it he sat on his desk chair and opened his laptop he then googled when he just did.
He found a disease called the Hanahaki disease, he looked at what causes it and his heart skipped a beat, he started breathing heavily, he was shaking, but he paused when he heard a ding from his phone he looked at his phone it was dabi
D: Hey, I wanted to see if you weren't spooked to much, you looked pretty confused when ya left, anyways, I wanted to ask what you already know about the other heroes
H : im fine and nows not really a good time
D: oh?, are you just saying that because you don't want to talk to me? Or are you playing hard to get.
H: Dabi, Im serious, it is not a good time
With that last message, hawks didn't bother to check his phone. After that he started coughing more blood with small petals from just the thought of dabi, he caught all the stuff in his hands, he went to the bathroom and cleaned up again he continued his reach about this disease. He was heartbroken once he read everything he could find. He didn't want to do the surgery and lose all feelings of love nor did he want to tell dabi he liked him but he also didn't want to die, he was torn with these options it was like an impossible choice. Hawks sighed and started readying himself mentally because this disease is going to get worse and painful. The thought of suicide flashed in his mind and he shook it off quickly he didnt want to go there. He got up and stretched he then changed into comfy clothing, sweatpants a cool t-shirt and a jacket also with a cool design, he then put on shoes and flew out of his apartment, he landed on this hill with a wonderful view and flowers around the top of the hill, hawks looked at the once pretty flowers but with this disease he didn't find them pretty, was he really afraid of these flowers. Hawks sighs and sits down and looks out and sees the pretty trees and the now setting sun, he wished he could just forget the things happening to him but it couldn't it was like it was haunting him, he was a good person why did this have to happen, he still can't believe he fell for dabi, he was a murderous villain for crying out loud, but something with hawks is attracted to him, and now that came to bite him in the ass. He can't have anything it seems. Hawks looked over and saw the bright blue flower that he was coughing up, but this one was whole, it was pretty and scary to look at, at the same time, it looked like dabi's fire, no wonder he was coughing that up, but it was also hawks's old friend toya's favorite flower, hawks sighed and picked the flower. He held it close and started to tear up he then looked up a the stars now becoming visible from the setting sun
"What did I do to deserve this, toya, can you ask them up there, why I'm getting tortured down here, I'm a good person aren't I? You thought so, right?" hawks say to the stars acting like they were toya. Hawks then started crying to the flower. Hawks' mood shifted and he threw the flower in anger. Hawks panted from his growing anger. Dabi came to the hill, it was a spot he knew was calming, he stopped when he saw hawks there, dabi sighed and leaned on a tree watching him and his emotions, dabi was confused on why hawks was like this, but dabi was annoyed at him for ignoring his texts, but dabi then come to realized it really wasn't a good time. Dabi heard him talk about toya, 'hm, toya, huh? Then my suspicions were right, he is keigo' dabi thought, dabi decided not to bother the hero, he left him be and walked back to where he came from, he'll wait for another time to bother the hero. Hawks laid down staring at the stars; he soon fell asleep on the scratchy but soft grass. he hopes the next day is atleast somewhat decent.
