"New car? When did you get it?"
It's a black lambo, red mood lights, red rims, and super flashy.
"I've had it for a while, but I figured I'd surprise you for Valentine's Day."
"Where'd you get the money? You aren't working right now, are you?" He definitely isn't, but I figured I'd ask anyway.
"You know I'm not. But anyway, got a card from my dad. He's overseas right now." He pulls out a platinum colored card. Score.
"He'll be away for awhile. In the meantime, I can spend this card however I like." He starts up the car, and it lets out a loud VROOM.
Not much of a car enthusiast myself, but Avery's car is seriously cool.
We set off, and the almost-spring air rushes through my hair.
"I set a reservation at a restaurant for 6:00. We have some time to kill before then, you down for shopping?"
Obviously.
We hit up some clothing brands, walk out with nothing. I got a YSL bag, but that's about it. So much for 'shopping,' but at least it killed some time.
"Anywhere else you wanna go? If we leave around this time, we'll be a bit early."
Shake my head. "Nah, let's just go now. There might be traffic, you never know."
I was right, there was heavy traffic. We made it there in time, luckily. Reservation worked wonders, there was a long line of people outside.
We get inside, and guess who's porcelain face I see,
Mom's.
