Callie POV
"So first day huh? What are your thoughts Callie?" Evan calls to me as we a pile
out of the car.
"Kill. Me. Now" I deadpanned.
"Oh chill out Cals, you'll be fine" Josh slung his arm around me.
"It's not that bad Callie! You're just a complainer," Jared smirks at me as we walk to school.
My jaw dropped. "Me? A complainer?" I scoff at him "Unheard of."
The boys just laugh as we walk through the halls to our lockers. Our school system is weird. The locker situation is like first come first serve. Once you have been here for a year, you get the same locker every year. Everyone understands that you don't want to go through the hassle again of remerging where a locker is so everyone keeps the same one. There's always that dumbass that thinks he's cool and takes someone else's locker.
Fortunately for me, I got to deal with the kid this year. And I wouldn't be so mad if it was a new freshman, they don't know the code yet so we just tell them that these lockers are taken and they need to scram, and they do. But no. I had to deal with the one person I hated the most. James freakin Donkin. I know what you are probably thinking. Donkin? What kind of shitty excuse for a name is that? Trust me, we are all still trying to figure that out.
I stop immediately which causes Garret to run into me.
"Damn Callie, what was that for?" As he was rubbing his stomach.
"Guys," I looked at them in the sweetest way possible. They all just gave me confused looks. "There is some ass kicking that needs to be done."
"What are you-" Jason started but I cut him off by pointing to my locker where James was so kindly putting his books.
"Oh hell no," Evan angrily said as I heard knuckles cracking from around me. I just sighed in response. I knew they were pissed off just as much as I was. But seriously guys? Knuckle cracking? Boys and their possessiveness. Before I could say anything to stop them they had already created a semi-circle around him leaving him no room for escape. I stood from a distance watching to see what was about to go down.
James looked up confused before realizing who was around him. Then his classic smirked appeared on his face as he folded his arms over his chest. "Well, well, well. Would you look who it is? The police of the school."
I nodded my head as I was thinking about that. It's pretty true. When ever there was a fight we would be the ones to breaks it up. Unless we were the ones to start it of course.
"What have you all turned mute over the summer?" I noticed that the boys never spoke to him. I through my head backwards as I groan out loud. Why do I always have to step in?!
I ran my hand through my hair as I was over trying to at least make it look good. I tap on Evan's shoulder and he let me walk towards the prick himself.
"Hello James, how are you this fine morning," I purred to him as I ran my hand down his chest. I swear I will be scrubbing my hands for an hour trying to get all his nasty germs off me. His smirk faltered a bit which means I was getting to him. At least all this was worth it.
"My, my. Well if it isn't the princess herself? What have I done to deserve your presence?" He asks me as he wraps his hand around my waist. I can visibly see the boys around me stiffen. Well it's their fault they all of a sudden became mutes and I'm doing this!
I fake a laugh, "Your so funny James. But yes, there is a reason I came over hear," I motioned for him to come closer, "This is my locker and I would like it back," I whisper in his ear.
"Oh so that's what this is about?" He wraps both his arms around my waist. "Well I'm sorry my dear, but this locker is mine now," he says as he smirks at me.
"Well I'm sorry to hear that," I pout as I rip his hands from my waist and slap his across the face. He was obviously dazed as he stumbled backwards into Jason's chest, "I think you should have just given me my locker back." James looked confused but then realization comes across his face as the guys start to take him outside...to beat him probably I don't care.
"Wait, wait!" He yells back to me.
"Yes James?" I say as I throw him a fake smile.
"You can have your dumb locker back! Please! Just please don't kill me!" I was taken back by James willingness to give up. I could tell the boys were too because they looked very confused.
"For what price?" I question him.
"No price!" James was practically begging to be let go, which was unusual. He always fought back.
"Is that a tear I spy Donkin?" Garret asks him.
"Shut up," is all he says before grabbing his bag a running off.
"Wow, that actually depresses me," Josh says, "I was looking for some first day beating." They all laugh as I shake my head.
We get to our lockers and start putting away notebooks and shit that's not necessary until later. I know you are probably thinking I'm some sort of cruel monster for being that way towards James, but he deserves it. Trust me. Just then the bell rings and the hallways are flooded with people.
"Aw man!" Josh groans, " I have to go across the street for Pre-Calc"
"Dude me too!" Jared and Garret exclaim. They all hive five-which is a total fail because there is three of them-and run towards the tunnel that leads to another building.
"Well," I look at my schedule, "I have health first so I'm guessing that means I'm stuck with the two of you?" I question them. Evan and Jason nod their heads eagerly with a wide grin on their faces. "Perfect," I mutter.
"Oh come on Callie," Evan throws his arm over my shoulders, "you really aren't mad about that are you?" He smirks at me.. I smirk back at him before kneeing him where the sun don't shine.
"Oh look," Jason yells pointing at Evan, "Health class already started!"
