People like to joke about ADHD
They laugh about
Oh, I can't focus, I must have ADHD.
No.
ADD is impulsive
It's knowing better but not being able to stop
It's pleading with your mind to work with you.
ADD is emotions on a dime
Anger at the smallest of things
Sadness and despair when small things go wrong
It's an invisible prison.
Sometimes I feel that it's harder than other disorders
Because it's a joke.
It's not fun.
It might not be as well-respected
It might not be like depression
But it still is something.
And when your prison is written off as a funhouse
You bang on the bars and people see enjoyment.(This is purely based on my experiences. Other people could feel differently, this is merely my frustration at the fact that some of my struggles are written off because ADD is often a joke)
