In the beginning, there were five angels, all with special gifts, who lived a very long time ago, when magic was accepted and looked upon with awe. All knew, as well as their parents, that they were destined for great things.

After the first war, they all earned their wings. No one is exactly sure of when or how it happened. After that, all angels who were Soul Healers, Guardians, or Death Bringers had wings.

Bamdus had the ability to heal any wound and fix injured souls by taking them out of the body and touching them. He discovered later, after the first war, that he could recreate souls and allow them to create a physical form and took the title of Soul Healer. His wings were gray.

Reza could transfer souls safely to Bamdus so they could be recreated. He took them out of the bodies of the dead, mostly those who had lived unfulfilled lives. He was feared and respected by many. No one ever survived a fight with him. They were either killed or died tragic deaths later in their lives. Reza was given the title of Death Bringer. His wings were the color of night.

Galadriel was a protector of many, with the ability to deflect weapons and objects at will. She specifically looked after children and those without family. She took the title of a Guardian. Her wings were as white as pure driven snow.

Alexios had the strength of ten men and could carry great burdens. He fought many battles and became a master swordsman. He protected Reza while he was talking the souls of the fallen off the battlefield. He was called a Warrior. He opted not to have any wings, because they would hinder him in battle.

The fifth angel was Ellias. He was the youngest of the five, but held the most power. It radiated off of him like an aura. He could heal, protect, guide souls, and fight just as well as the other four. Ellias saved the lives of the other angels many times and always had a clear feeling of what was to come. He showed extreme calmness in the face of danger and was not afraid to stand alone. He earned the title of a Fate Changer. He did not accept to have wings, and preferred to be unnoticeable.

Many more angels were created from lost souls. Each took on a power from the original four. None had the ability of a Fate Changer. Years and years passed. Instead of the angels having surnames, they had numbers, starting from one. The Otherworld was formed by Reza and Alexios after it became clear that their presence was not welcome by the mortals. The angels had began to become equal to their population and magic was feared by those who suffered the loss of death, while the angels were nearly immortal. It was an almost exact replica of earth, the same shape and size, but it had much more beauty and peace.

They assured that a war would never touch this place, and it would remain pure. Bamdus created a single doorway that would lead back to earth, and sealed it shut. Once angels grew from children, they would reach adulthood and stay in that form unless their soul was taken.

The only way for them to truly disappear for good was for their soul to be burned with the fire of Enico or be reaped by the Maledictus blade of Ellias, cursed, and forged in the fire of Enico.

As always, evil consumes hearts and corrupts minds. Four angels were cast out of the Otherworld, accused of treason to the mortals by leading angels to their slaughter, and were placed into the Underworld.

Each one had a power of the original four. And so demons were created.

Their powers were twisted by their madness.

The Soul Healer turned into a Shadow, stealing mortal souls and hunting down angels. The Death Bringer turned into Mind Controller with the ability to twist the thoughts and actions of those around it. The Guardian turned into a Hunter, tracking down Death Bringers and reborn souls on earth with the intent of wiping them out. The Warrior turned into a Shape Shifter and aided the Hunter in killing Angels.

A war started on earth that Ellias could never have seen coming. The demons, stronger than ever before, rose to earth and killed thousands of innocents, massacring whole villages at a time, and creating more demons from their damned souls.

The fighting went on for years. Death Bringers were nearly wiped out and Soul Healers became rare. Ellias began to crack under all of the pressure. He had visions of the coming times and sent a whole six hundred angels into a trap, leading to their murders. It was decided by the other four that he must be stopped.

He was cast down, though not stripped of his powers yet, and left to fend for himself. He, enraged, took his cursed blade and went into battle, destroying demons by the hundreds.

Ellias was the reason the angels won the war. The demons, most of them, were sent back to the underworld and locked in. They would only escape once more. Ellias was nearly accepted back into the Otherworld, until he tried to warn the others that another war was soon to come.

He was killed with his own sword by Alexios, who stabbed him while his back was turned. His soul was burned in the eternal fire of Enico. It still burns in the Otherworld, in the center of the square in the Capital city.

One angel from each generation has the ability to extinguish or light the fire, all are descendants of Alexios, who light the fire in the beginning. It is said that when the flame dies, the second was will begin.

Even now, anyone with all four powers will be stripped of them and sent down to earth to live as a mortal. This hasn't been reported since Ellias himself. There was a rumor, years ago, but the mortal child was killed. His soul was never recovered.
