Anna and Rhysand had both opened their eyes and were admiring the rainbow-like lights surrounding them. It seemed like the two were in the rainbow like tunnel for what seemed to be forever. The two were holding each other in a death tight grip. Both afraid if they let go of each other they would lose one another. Their worries and nervousness were starting to consume the two as they stayed in the tunnel of colorful lights. But before they knew it they were both being thrown out of the tunnel and into the cloudy sky.
A frightful squeal left Anna's lips as this happened. Which led Rhysand to laugh at the adorable noise she made. But as they were falling through the air Rhysand made it so that he was carrying Anna bridal stye and made his Illyrian wings appear. Spreading his wings out he caught the wind and began to glide through the sky. Looking below the two could see that there was a forest of sorts and decided to land there for the time being to keep cover. Not knowing where they were, the two were cautious.
But as soon as Rhysand landed on the green cold grass he made his wings disappear. Anna then made him put her down, Rhysand was hesitant but did as she told him to do. With a nod of thanks from Anna, she soon took off her heels and stuck them in her bag. With a huff of air she placed her hands on her hips and looked at Rhysand with a look of determination. Rhysand crossed his arms and looked at Anna up and down for a moment admiring her with a smirk. He didn't say anything though wanting to hear what she had to say.
"S-so where do we start first Rhys?" Anna stuttered as she began to lose her confidence as Rhysand stared at her with his intense violet eyes. Anna's cheeks began to heat up as she pushed a piece of her long hair behind her pointed ear and looked to the ground. Rhysand slowly began to gracefully stalk to Anna with a smirk upon his face. Anna soon looked up hearing his footsteps towards her. She smiled at him as his smirk turned into a smile.
But something caught her attention from the corner of her eye.
Far away she saw a person. A person that was running at Rhysand's back at an unbelievably fast pace. She was sure if she was still human she wouldn't be able to see them. Rhysand seemed to have seen her widen eyes and heard the person because he soon turned around with a growl. He was too slow though. The person was already tackling him to the ground. The person was soon trying to bite at Rhysand. But it soon chooses to grab at Rhysand and squeeze him. A yelp left Rhysand as he tried to push the person or creature off him. He knew there would be bruises after this.
Anna soon got out of her state of shock as a growl left her lips. Seeing this creature hurting her mate. Raising a hand at the creature suddenly it was pushed off of Rhysand with incredible force. But the creature got back up quickly. Rhysand got up hastily to his feet as well, his training kicking in. Anna soon watched as a sword appeared in Rhysand's hand. As Anna watched Rhysand the creature soon ran at Anna.
But it was too late Rhysand swung the sword with all his might at the creature's head. A thundering crack sound went throughout the forest and the head was knocked off the creature's body. Rhysand and Anna were both shocked. There on the ground was the head of the creature but it was like a rock. No blood. They couldn't stay to study more because they soon heard more running their way.
Rhysand soon winnowed himself to Anna. With haste he made his wings appear and took off to the sky with Anna in his arms and sword still in hand. After what had happened they wanted nothing more but to find their mate now. Both were breathing heavily in the air looking around for where to land.
But before Anna knew it she was soon filled with dread and defeat. She was suddenly dragged into a vision. She was being held by two people that looked like the creature that she and Rhysand just went against. She was desperately trying to get away but it was no use. Suddenly she saw someone running to her and then the vision went away. A gasp left her lips and she looked at Rhysand with tears and wide fearful eyes. Rhysand didn't know what she saw but he knew it wasn't good. So he did the only thing he could think to do. He held his sword tightly in his grasp and put his faith into Anna as he whispered, "feel the bond Anna. Let it tak over you the instinct to protect our mate. Let everything go and follow it. Go to him. I promise I'll be there to bring you back."
