She hesitates then tells me the news. "Lola you have been the best friend I ever had, but I have to move again." Tears are in her eyes and in mine, my mouth is wide open. I say "When do you have to move?"
"The last day before Christmas break"
That was in less than a week.
I was sobbing inside.
I would only see her the Christmas band concert then the last day.
