You, Me, and The End

The sun is gone, the end is nigh
I see the fear swirling in your eyes.
But hold you breath and let it go,
Hold my hands, let me sway you so.

We'll spin and twirl in disarray,
Pay no mind as the earth decays.
Heed the faint splash of the near lake,
And not the distant quivering quakes.

Let not the dim sky paint you blue
For you glow brighter than any moon.
So keep your eyes locked in on mine,
We'll dance and lose our track of time.

It can't be helped, it's inevitable.
For humanity remains insatiable.
But I know you're all I'll ever need
In this drying ocean brimming of greed.
