MARIA WHILSON had a family that had enough money to give her a decent life but was unable to raised her in an emotinal way.

She always considered herself an outsider in her own family. Her parents both worked at a large company, got up early, came home late or sometimes never came home because of a business trip. She had everything, but always felt empty in that big white house.

After graduating with a degree in fine arts, she decided to stop her studies and focus on what she really wanted to do in life, without worrying about her parents' opinion.

All she ever wanted was to be an artist. She wanted to be part of something. Something big.

So it was with big stars in her eyes that she decided to move into her older brother's apartment in Los Angeles. Living with her brother as a roommate was the best choice of her life.
