"Do you think Mad-Eye is really dead?" Ron asks Ursa and Hermione, who are sitting in the corner of his room. There are three piles of books. One large pile between them and two smaller ones at their feet.

"Yes." Ursa says. "I caught a glimpse of it and Bill said he was hit with the Killing Curse." They hear someone coming up the stairs and Ron shoots up off the bed. He pretends that he was cleaning.

"I'm doing it, I'm doing-" Ron starts until he sees it's Harry. "Oh, it's you." Ron plops back down on the bed.

"Hi Harry." Hermione says as Harry sits on his camp bed.

"And how did you two manage to get away from Mrs Weasley's tasks." Harry asks.

"Oh Mrs Weasley forgot she asked Ginny and me to change the sheets yesterday." Hermione says.

"Doing the dishes didn't take very long." Ursa says as Hermione throws Numerology and Grammatica onto one pile at their feet and The Rise and Fall of the Dark Arts onto the other.

"We were just talking about Mad-Eye." Ron tells Harry. "I reckon he might have survived."

"But Bill saw him hit by the Killing Curse." Harry says.

"That's what I said." Ursa mutters.

"Yeah but Bill was under attack too." Ron insists. "How can he be sure what he saw?"

"Even if the Killing Curse missed, Mad-Eye still fell about a thousand feet." Hermione says.

"He could have used a Shield Charm-"

"Fleur said his wand was blasted out of his hand." Ursa says.

"Fine, if you want him to be dead." Ron says grumpily.

"Of course we don't want him to be dead!" Hermione exclaims. "It's dreadful that he's dead! But we're just being realistic." Ursa accidently drops The Monster Book of Monsters on floor in front of them. It breaks free from its restraining belt and snaps viciously at Ron's ankle.

"I'm sorry, I'm sorry!" Ursa exclaims as Harry wrenches the book from Ron's leg and reties it shut.

"What are you two doing with all those books anyway?" Ron asks as he limps back to his bed.

"Just trying to decide which ones to take with us." Ursa says. "When we're looking for the Horcruxes."

"Oh of course!" Ron says with a sarcastic slap to his forehead. "I forgot we'll be hunting down Voldemort in a mobile library."

     "Ha ha." Hermione says sarcastically.

"May I remind you I have an Undetectable Extension Charm on my bag." Ursa says.

     "Right." Ron mutters.

"I wonder, will we need to translate runes?" Hermione thinks aloud. "It's possible, I think we'd better take it, to be safe." She drops Spellman's Syllabary on the larger of the two piles at her feet. She picks up Hogwarts, A History.

"Listen." Harry says. Ron, Hermione, and Ursa look at him. "I know you said that you wanted to come with me."

"Here he goes." Ron says with an eyeroll.

"As we knew he would." Ursa replies.

"I think I will take Hogwarts, A History." Hermione says. "Even if we're not going back there, I don't think I'd feel right if I didn't have it with-"
