chapter fourteen ♡

   Luo Mei and Lu Yue start to look back at a time when they were younger. It's the year 2012. A few months after Luo Mei pursued Lu Yue and it's nearly time for them to go on break for Chinese new year, Luo Mei and Lu Yue are looking forward to celebrating together.
Luo Mei had ballet practice after school. Lu Yue had something he had to do at their school after school so afterwards from that he would be waiting for Luo Mei but while he's waiting for her, he founds himself in a little trouble.
Luo Mei is on her way over while Lu Yue is getting beat up by Hao Ling and his friends. She gets there in the middle of it. She sees what's going on, she drops her stuff, goes to try, and stop it but she gets got it in and gets pushed on the floor.
Luo Mei- Guys, stop??!!! Please!!! Hao Ling, you're scaring me?! Give it a rest?!??
   Hao Ling stops what he's doing, let's his friends take over, and goes to Luo Mei.
Hao Ling- I'm scaring you?
Luo Mei- Y-yes. You... Ruo Gujing... and Xuzi Feng... are.
Hao Ling- There's nothing to be afraid of. I'll keep you safe.
Luo Mei- No!!! I said y-you scare... me?! Did you n-not hear me!!?!??
Hao Ling- Lu Yue is getting what he asked for.
   Lu Yue tries to fight them because he doesn't like that Hao Ling is talking to Luo Mei.
Luo Mei- Hao Ling, why won't you listen to me?!
Hao Ling- If you agree to be with me, I'll tell them to stop.
Luo Mei- I... I...
Hao Ling- Come on, you know you want to, right?
Lu Yue- Stop talking to her?!
Hao Ling- And why should I do that?
Luo Mei- Fine.
Hao Ling- What?
Luo Mei- I'll see you tomorrow. I'll call my brother to pick me up and I will call you tonight. Please just make them stop.
Hao Ling- Lets go.
   Ruo Gujing and Xuzi Feng stop beating Lu Yue and go to follow after Hao Ling. Soon they leave and go out of sight.
Lu Yue- What was that?
Luo Mei- (she goes to him) Y-you're... bleeding.
Lu Yue- You can't just say that and expect we won't talk about it. I'm your boyfriend. Or was that all just you playing with me?
Luo Mei- No. I want you. Hao Ling scares me. Look what he did to you.
   Soon they go into the restroom. Luo Mei sits up on the counter and cleans Lu Yue of the blood.
Luo Mei- I think he knows.
Lu Yue- We're together.
Luo Mei- Why does he always have to go for your face?! It's precious.
Lu Yue- You really think that?
Luo Mei- Yes.
Lu Yue- You know, you thinking I'm handsome, precious. A catch. It really made me fall for you more.
Luo Mei- You really are cocky.
Lu Yue- Don't you think it's adorable?
Luo Mei- Yes.
Lu Yue- Do you have anything to cover my face?
Luo Mei- Yes. It is adorable.
Lu Yue- Gosh, I love you more.
Luo Mei- Let me finish up and than you can kiss me.
Lu Yue- Okay. Are you going to cling on me now?
She finishes up with cleaning up his face, covers the sores, and then holds onto him.
Lu Yue- You're being adorable.
Luo Mei- I couldn't protect you. It's what I get for being thirteen and a girl.
Lu Yue- No. You being a girl or thirteen hasn't nothing to do with it. I never want to hear you say that. You can do anything and you did protect me.
Luo Mei- But I couldn't stop them. I couldn't stop them.
Lu Yue- Darling, it's okay.
Luo Mei- Lu Yue.
Lu Yue- What is it? You want to tell me something?

Lu Yue- I do but...
Luo Mei- Lu Yue?! I want you to touch me.
Lu Yue- When I'm sixteen and your fourteen, I'm not. When you're fifteen and I'm seventeen, I'm not. When I'm eighteen and you're sixteen, I am definitely not.
Luo Mei- Lu Yue?! Don't say the times, you won't be able to.
He leans in closer to her and kisses her on the lips. Lu Yue's older brother walks in because he's looking for them.
Lu SiCheng- I'll be waiting in line car. When you want to come out, come. Take your time. I'm leaving first.
He leaves and they continue to make out. Then Lu Yue pulls away from Luo Mei's lips.
Lu Yue- I love that you're not afraid to tell me these things.
Luo Mei- I'm not. Lu Yue, don't tease me with this.
Lu Yue- Am I?
Luo Mei- Lu Yue?! If you try to kiss me, I won't let you. I know you want to touch me as much as I want you to.
Lu Yue- My brother's waiting for us.
Luo Mei- What are you so afraid of? Why can't you just touch me now!
Lu Yue- I don't want to get to the point where I can't do  it anymore. You know our age difference and I know how much you will love it and won't get enough and want more. Then I can't give you more—
Luo Mei- Lu Yue. Your brother is the only one who knows about us and he doesn't know what we do when we're alone. He just helps out so we can sneak around. If no one knows, it wouldn't be wrong.
Lu Yue- But—
Luo Mei- Lu Yue?! Would you stop? I can't help how I feel. Anyways, it's you're fault. When you kiss me sometimes, I want to feel your fingertips along my skin.
Lu Yue- Might as well just talk dirty to me, if you're going to talk to me like that.
Luo Mei- I do want to. The more we made out, the more I started to feel those things. You don't think I'm too young to have these feelings?
Lu Yue- No. You do have to have a period to have a baby and you've already—
Luo Mei- Lu Yue?!
Lu Yue- I've been having similar feelings too.
Luo Mei- Do you lay in bed at night and think about touching me?
Lu Yue- How are you able to freely say those things to me?
Luo Mei- We have been dating for a few months now and I just feel comfortable saying whatever to you.
Lu Yue- If I could have you right now.
Luo Mei- Lu Yue, I just said I wanted you to touch me NOT to bed me.
Lu Yue- I would never.
Luo Mei- So, are you saying you never want to bed me?
Lu Yue- I wasn't saying th— (he cuts himself off)
Luo Mei- Lu Yue?!
Lu Yue- I know when that should happen. We're too young.
Luo Mei- Good boy. Lets go please.
Lu Yue- You don't want me to touch you?
Luo Mei- Yes. Will you do it now?
He pulls away from her and walks out.
Luo Mei- Hey! Lu Yue?!
   She goes after him. They're almost on their way out and Luo Mei stops Lu Yue.
Luo Mei- You stop right there young man!
Lu Yue- (he stops & turns around) What did you just call me?
He goes to walk up to her.
Luo Mei- You heard what I said. You listen to me.
Lu Yue- (he walks closer to her & she walks back) Why should I listen to you?
Luo Mei- I got you wrapped around my little finger, you have to listen to me.
Lu Yue- (he walks even closer to her & she walks back) Since when do you have me wrapped your little finger?
Luo Mei- Because I can tell you what to do and you listen. Do it. I dare you?
He goes to push her up against the wall.
Luo Mei- You...
Lu Yue- You told me to.
Luo Mei- You ran off from me. You're teasing me with not touching me. Why can't you do it?!
Lu Yue- What makes you think I won't? I will give you anything you want.
Luo Mei- But you won't touch me?!!
Lu Yue- Will you end things if I don't?
Luo Mei- No. Just because you won't touch me, doesn't mean I'll end things with you.
Lu Yue- So then, I don't have to touch you.
Luo Mei- Uh, yes you do!
Lu Yue- What are you going to do if I won't touch you.
Luo Mei- I'll take away our sleepovers, I know you love them.
Lu Yue- Don't make it feel like a break up.
Luo Mei- Then, touch me!!
   He goes to pick her up by the thighs, holds them to him, and walks them back in the bathroom. He sits her up on the counter and gets out his phone.
Luo Mei- Lu Yue?! What are you doing?
Lu Yue- Just texting my brother that it will be a while until we come out to the car.
   After he sends the message to his brother, Luo Mei takes his phone and sets it on the counter. Lu Yue goes to zip down her skirt and kind of takes it off.
Luo Mei- Why don't you just strip me?
Lu Yue- Luo Mei?! I'm going to do what you wanted.
   He goes to put his hand under her blouse and starts to run his fingertips along her skin.
Lu Yue- How's that?
Luo Mei- It's everything I ever dreamed of.
Lu Yue- Does it tickle?
Luo Mei- No. I feels good. Don't stop. Please.
Lu Yue- We can't keep my brother waiting too long. We can continue this back at your house.
Luo Mei- You can strip my clothes off and touch me under the covers. Yue Yue, doesn't it make you want more?
Luo  Yue- Is it supposed to?
   Soon after they arrive at Luo Mei's parents house. Lu SiCheng drives away after they walk inside the mansion. They start to walk up the stairs but they get stopped.
Luo Xinjin- Oh, good. You both are home. If you're hungry, dinner is ready and on the dinning table.
Lu Yue- Yes. Thank you, ma-ma.
He walks off to the dining room.
Luo Mei- So, I don't have to ask you to let Lu Yue sleepover? You just acted like he leaves here.
Luo Xinjin- He kind of does. He's always here.
Luo Mei- He is my best friend and I want him in my life.
Luo Xinjin- Just remember, when your father is away on business, Lu Yue is aloud to sleepover.
   After they eat and hang out a bit, Luo Mei and Lu Yue go up to her room. They walk in. Luo Mei goes to wait under the covers for Lu Yue.
   She closes her eyes and imagines Lu Yue touching her so she doesn't see him get under the covers with her. She feels him strip her clothes off and then goes to run his fingertips along her skin.
Luo Mei- Can I wear your shirt?
Lu Yue- The one I have on?
Luo Mei- Yes. Lu Yue, look at me while you're doing that.
   He looks at her and they instantly go to kiss each other. They make out while he touches her. He stops touching her, pulls the covers over them, and goes to hold her. She goes to touch his face and pulls his lips away.
Luo Mei- Why did you stop?
Lu Yue- I think I should sleep in the guest room.
Luo Mei- No. Don't you dare?!
Lu Yue- I really shouldn't be touching you.
Luo Mei- Lu Yue?! Would you stop that?
Lu Yue- What am I doing wrong?
Luo Mei- Are you ever going to touch me again?
Lu Yue- Why do you even want it so much?
Luo Mei- Lu Yue?! Why wouldn't I want you to touch me? The feel of your hands on my skin... I started to crave it, the more and more we made out. You can't tell me you never thought about wanting to touch me?
Lu Yue- I have. But our ages, how old we are.
Luo Mei- I don't care, it's all consent. We're not doing anything wrong. We're not cooking rice, you're just touching me.
Lu Yue- I'm a fourteen year old boy touching a thirteen year old girl. I don't know if it's right.
Luo Mei- Does it feel right?
Lu Yue- (he doesn't hesitate his answer) Yes.
Luo Mei- You didn't hesitate.
Lu Yue- I'm sorry.
Luo Mei- (she goes to hold his left cheek) Hubby, it's okay.
Lu Yue- What did you just call me?
Luo Mei- What?
Lu Yue- You... you called me "hubby". Wifey.
Luo Mei- As if that could ever happen. You can never truly be mine.
Lu Yue- Don't say that. I don't believe it. I hope someday you're father will accept me.
Luo Mei- Will he ever stop loathing your family?
Lu Yue- I don't know. All of that is nothing we should worry about. Okay? Focus on me, okay?
Luo Mei- You?
Lu Yue- What do you want the most right now?
Luo Mei- For you to sleep over every night.
Lu Yue- I'll have to let my parents know.
Luo Mei- They're be okay with it. They love me. (she smiles)
Lu Yue- You're so adorable.
Luo Mei- You are the one adorable. (she strokes his cheek)
He gets out of the bed, grabs some clothes, and walks towards the bedroom.
Luo Mei- Lu Yue?!
Lu Yue- I'm just going to change.
   Luo Mei sits up on the bed, holds the blanket to her, and waits for him.
Luo Mei- Handsome.
He comes out of the bathroom after she says that.
Lu Yue- What did you call me?
Luo Mei- Handsome.
Lu Yue- Say it again. It's adorable.
Luo Mei- It's manly when you touch me.
Lu Yue- Really? Is that so?
Luo Mei- Yes. Absolutely. And you're the only person I want to touch me, even like that.
   He hands her his shirt and lets go of the covers. The covers fall off her.
Lu Yue- Luo Mei.
Luo Mei- What? What's wrong?
He turns around.
Luo Mei- Lu Yue, what are you turning around for?
Lu Yue- You're... I've never seen you...
Luo Mei- Seen me what?
Lu Yue- Like that.
Luo Mei- Like what?
   He turns back around, goes to her, and pushes her down on the bed.
Lu Yue- I've never seen you wear no clothes.
Luo Mei- Yue.
Lu Yue- What? Did I do something wrong?
Luo Mei- Yue Yue. Y-you're being manly. What did I do?
Lu Yue- You... How are you comfortable being in just your bra and underwear in front of me??
Luo Mei- Oh. I just feel really comfortable around you, it never really crosses my mind on what I'm wearing around you. Also I put your shirt on.
Lu Yue- What?
He gets up and she goes to sit up.
Luo Mei- Why are you looking at me like that?
Lu Yue- Maybe you shouldn't wear my shirt.
   He sits down on the bed and she goes to sit on his lap with her legs bent down on either side of him.
Luo Mei- Why are you saying that?
Lu Yue- What are you doing?
Luo Mei- What do you mean what am I doing?
Lu Yue- We should go to sleep.
Luo Mei- Lu Yue.
He gently pushes her off him and gets off the bed.
Lu Yue- I'll go sleep on the sofa.
She gets up off the bed and goes over to him.
Luo Mei- Lu Yue?! What is wrong? Don't shut me out. You know you can tell me.
Lu Yue- I'm getting those feelings too but...
Luo Mei- Lu Yue?! You want me to be mad you?
Lu Yue- No.
Luo Mei- Why are you fighting them??
Lu Yue- Our ages.
Luo Mei- As long as it doesn't feel wrong. We're not even making love. You're just touching me.
Lu Yue- I kind of don't want to just touch you.
Luo Mei- I'm sorry. It's probably my fault.
Lu Yue- No, you didn't do anything wrong. Just what ever you do can set me off.
Luo Mei- I know I don't make you lose it that much.
Lu Yue- What?
He stands up and goes to walk up to her.
Luo Mei- Handsome.
Lu Yue- What did you say?
He goes to walk closer to her and she walks back.
Luo Mei- I know I don't make you lose it that much.
Lu Yue- (he walks even closer to her & she walks back) Say that again?
Luo Mei- What?
She grabs onto him and falls them back on the bed.
Lu Yue- What are you doing?
Luo Mei- I don't want you to sleep on the sofa.
Lu Yue- Where else am I supposed to sleep?
Luo Mei- With me?
Lu Yue- But...
Luo Mei- There's nothing wrong with it.
Lu Yue- I'll lay on top of the covers and cover myself with a blanket.
Luo Mei- But weren't you already in bed with me?
Lu Yue- When you're eighteen.
Luo Mei- Lu Yue, I never asked when you will.
Lu Yue- You didn't get mad at me?
Luo Mei- No, my darling. It's so adorable how you're acting. I want to keep you.
Lu Yue- I'm yours. You can keep me. Please keep me.
Luo Mei- I want you.
Lu Yue- I still can't believe that.

Luo Mei- I don't know if I want to go Ballet school in France after high school.

Luo Mei- Okay. (she goes to stroke his left cheek) I love you.

Luo Mei- What happened really scared me. (she grabs on tight to his shirt) What... what if they hurt you really bad. When you... when they hurt you like that, I feel like I can't breathe.
Lu Yue- I think I just fell for you more.
Luo Mei- Lu Yue, I'm being serious. It really scares me when that happens, cara mia. (, my darling. <french translation to english)
Lu Yue- Cara mia. I love you. I was being serious too. I love how you're protective over me.
Luo Mei- You're my best friend, I need to protect you.
Lu Yue- You can protect me all you want, I love it.
She goes to hold onto the back of his head, pulls him down so she can kiss him on the lips. Then she pulls away.
Luo Mei- I can't stop. I really don't like it when you get beaten up.
Lu Yue- I know. I'm okay now.
Luo Mei- No. I'm trying to be gentle.

He was looking at her face and was getting an idea, he goes to kiss all along her face. It makes her giggle and blush.
Luo Mei- No handsome.
Lu Yue- (he stops & looks at her) What?! Say that again?
Luo Mei- Say what again? You're not being handsome.
Lu Yue- How dare you?! Take it back.
Luo Mei- Take what back? I don't know what you're talking about.
Lu Yue- Yes, you do.
Luo Mei- I still don't know what you're talking about.
Lu Yue- You so do! How dare you say I'm not being handsome.
Luo Mei- Cocky much.
Lu Yue- I am too handsome and you can never forget that.
Luo Mei- Prove it.
Lu Yue- Maybe I will.
He goes to put his hand under the shirt she's wearing and goes to run his fingertips along her skin.
Lu Yue- How's that?
She pulls him down to her and goes to kiss him on the lips while he touches her. He goes to wrap his arms around her while they kiss and it makes her pull away.
Luo Mei- Lu Yue, what are you doing?
Lu Yue- What do you mean what was I doing?
Luo Mei- You stopped touching me. You have to be a good boy??
Lu Yue- What? What do you mean by that?
Luo Mei- You're a bad boy when you touch me. It's very handsome.
Lu Yue- You said very handsome. I love you more.
Luo Mei- I fell for you because you're the only boy I'm comfortable around and know everything about, you never judge me. You love me for who I am. And I fell for you because you're always yourself when you're around me. Even how you treat me. When we were just best friends, you never told me for granted. Never made me feel uncomfortable and never tried to.—
Lu Yue- So I didn't really do anything to make you fall for me?
Luo Mei- When you kissed me two years ago, yes.
Lu Yue- Really?
Luo Mei- Yes, my love.
The cat goes to them and meows.
Luo Mei- Even Qiǎokèlì piàn knows.

Luo Mei- Yes. Thank you for that, then I knew I could. If you liked me than I could pursue you.
Lu Yue- Were you always crushing on me, when we were just best friends?
Luo Mei- My brother knows.
Lu Yue- What? Knows what?
Luo Mei- That I had a crush on you. He talked to me about it. I didn't know I was but he did. He asked me questions and all the answers I said proved that I was crushing on you. It hit me so hard that I had to really think about it.
Lu Yue- Did you think it was wrong to crush on me, since you know.
Luo Mei- At first but I really thought about it. And then I just let myself fall in silence. I didn't know how to tell you and I thought maybe it would ruin our friendship.
Lu Yue- It did. But is that such a bad thing? We are still able to tell each other things and talk like best friends do.
Luo Mei- Yes. That's what I love.
Lu Yue- We should go to sleep now. Remember, we have school tomorrow.
Luo Mei- Are you going to come to my ballet recital?
Lu Yue- You know I won't miss it. I love watching you dance.
Luo Mei- Do I look like a princess?
Lu Yue- Absolutely. Do you still want to dance the Swan Lake?
Luo Mei- Yes, yes, yes, yes, yes! It's supposed to be the hardest ballet dance but I've been dancing my whole life, I know some day I do it.
Lu Yue- Yes. And you still want to dance Clara in The Nutcracker?
Luo Mei- Yes. You remembered.
Lu Yue- Yes, of course. Now lets go to sleep.
Luo Mei- Can handsome touch me again? Run his fingertips along my stomach. 
Lu Yue- Sleep, my princess.
Luo Mei- Handsome, pleasee?? You have to do now that you called me that.
Lu Yue- Why do you want me to do that so much?
Luo Mei- Because it's you. I definitely don't want anyone to touch me the way you do.
Lu Yue- Really?
Luo Mei- Yes. Do you think you're living in a dream?
Lu Yue- No. If you weren't in my life, it would feel like that.
Luo Mei- I don't want it... I don't want it to end.
Lu Yue- Don't think about that, just think about what's happening now.
Luo Mei- I love how you do that. Can... can you hold me while he sleep?
Lu Yue- Of course, I can. I'll get up, you get into bed, and I'll come to you.
Luo Mei- Okay, handsome.
   He gets up off her and she goes under the covers. He lays next to her, goes to hold her, and he puts a blanket over them. After that they end up falling asleep.
