Celestia's first week at Aphrodite Academy flew by, and it was now Friday. During that week, Lucinda and Celestia grew closer. She was getting ready for the vampire's concert. The fairy put on her favorite outfit, a pastel pink overall dress, with a white sweater underneath. Lacy knee high socks, and her favorite locket with dried rose petals inside.

Her grandma had given it to her before her passing. Her grandma was also a dancer, Celestia learned most of what she knew from her. A flightless fairy, her wings had been burned off in a house fire. That didn't stop her from being the best she could be.

Celestia kissed the locket, and closed her bedroom door. She walked down the stairs, and hugged her parents goodbye. Then, she was off. She gripped her shoulder bag excitedly as she heard music coming from the dusty old hospital building.

Walking in, she definitely wasn't prepared for the noise. Screaming, both from the crowd and from the band, loud music, and more attacked her ears all at once. Celestia stood at the back of the crowd. It was small, but mighty. People, mostly nocturnal creatures, were slamming against each other aggressively as they danced.

Celestia looked at the front, where the performance was happening. There was Lucinda, who was singing and playing guitar, a ghost on the drums, and a werewolf on the keyboard. The fairy focused on Lucinda, watching the vampire scream lyrics into the microphone and stomp around. She looked more alive than ever, which made sense considering it was sunset.

Celestia felt a fluttery feeling come to her stomach. Her heart sped up, and all she could focus on was the vampire on before her. To any other person, they would just see a sweaty teenager screaming her lungs out, but Celestia saw a girl enjoying what she loved, being her most authentic self. It made Celestia blush to see. She was allowed to witnessed a side of Lucinda that seemed so vulnerable, so real. Ballet was a perfect act, nothing could be out of place, but here, her hair was wild, her makeup was runny, and she was allowed to do as she pleased.

As the song finished, Lucinda and Celestia made eye contact. Red eyes met pink, and Celestia felt her heart skip a beat. Lucinda grinned and turned to her band mates for a second, before stepping up to the microphone again and announcing, "This one's for the pretty fairy in the back!"

Celestia looked around, but didn't see any fairies. Did Lucinda mean her? Celestia felt her face heat up again.

The song started off soft and slow, progressively getting more aggressive, until eventually Lucinda was full on screaming and jumping around. The vampire lifted herself in the air, and twirled around so the microphone cord wrapped around her. She eyed Celestia again, and gave her a wink, making the fairy's heart skip a beat.

Celestia couldn't tell what the song was about, the lyrics were incomprehensible with the screaming. Something about a morgue, or a hearse? She didn't know.

As the song ended, Lucinda blew a kiss into the crowd, which Celestia couldn't tell if it was aimed at her or not. The fairy felt weak at her knees, and a warm, nervous feeling pooled in her stomach. She knew she liked girls, but she's only known Lucinda for a week! She catches feelings way too quickly. She couldn't actually like her, right?

As the concert went on, Lucinda kept catching glances at Celestia, admiring how cute she looked when she was flustered, even from far away.

With one final song, the concert ended and people started to leave. Celestia walked to the front to greet Lucinda. "That was awesome, Lucinda!"

Lucinda, who was packing up her guitar, looked up and smiled. "Thank you! And thanks for coming, Celeste. I didn't expect you to like this type of thing"

"I didn't expect to enjoy it, either, but it was really fun! I'd love to see you play more, sometime!" Celestia rocked on her heels nervously.

"How bout you come over to my place, and we can jam to a few songs?" Lucinda invited.
