Celestia's next class was gardening, which she had with Lucinda. As the two approached the greenhouse, Celestia was amazed. It was so pretty! Flowering vines grew up the walls, blossoming a beautiful dusty pink. There were flower beds in the front as well, showing an array of colors. Inside the greenhouse were tables for students to sit at, along with plants lining every wall. Celestia was especially happy to see a beautiful golden pothos from across the room. They were her favorite house plants.

The two girls sat down next to each other, and waited for the rest of the class to show up. Celestia saw a woman, probably the teacher, tending to some succulents. She wore a flowy green dress, with long bellbottom sleeves. She had dried flowers in her long, greying hair, and big round golden glasses.

When class began, she introduced herself as Miss.Fleur. Her voice was soft and comforting, like a grandma's. She handed out a syllabus, then told the class what they would be doing that day. She pulled out a big box of freshly cut flowers, and announced that they would be making flower crowns! Celestia smiled ear to ear, what a cute idea!

Miss.Fleur demonstrated with some daisies, then handed out a paper showing the steps. Each student walked up to the front of the class to choose some flowers. Celestia chose some light pink lilies, and Lucinda chose red roses.

"So, who's your favorite music artist?" Lucinda asked as she began her flower crown.

"Probably Melanie Martinez. You?"

"My Chemical Romance, definitely. Do you like cartoons?"

"Yeah! I really like Strawberry Shortcake and Tinker Bell! What do you like?"

"Invader Zim and Monster High. I also collect some of the dolls from Monster High, wanna see?"

"Yeah, that sounds cool!" Celestia smiled. She felt comforted knowing she had already made a friend, as she was a bit afraid she would have a hard time making them. She only had Crystal at her old school, which was great! But she couldn't help but feel lonely sometimes.

Lucinda pulled out her phone, and showed Celestia a picture of a shelf full of dolls, all dressed to look like some kind of monster. She saw a few Frankensteins, werewolves, and, her favorite, vampires dressed in pink. Celestia smiled, they were adorable!

"They're so cute, Lucinda! Where do you find them?" She asked, already planning to buy some for herself. She also liked collecting things, like stuffed animals, pinned butterflies, and hair clips.

"The originals were discontinued in 2016, but the new generation is out in pretty much every toy aisle. I usually thrift for the originals, you should come with me sometime."

Celestia smiled widely. "Sure, sounds like fun!"

"Cool, here's my number. Let's set something up this weekend" Lucinda riped a piece of paper out of her notebook and scribbled down her number, along with a little "Call me <3". Celestia did the same, except her paper had a drawing of a daisy.

After that, they worked on finishing their flower crowns, making conversation the whole time. Lucinda was happy to have a new friend, since she doesn't share many classes with her other friends. She also didn't click with many people, so it was always nice to meet someone who likes her.

After Lucinda finished her flower crown, she noticed she had two flowers left. She took one of them, and handed it to Celestia. "Here, I had extra." She said.

"Oh, thank you!" Celestia accepted the flower and put it in her coily hair. Lucinda did the same with her own. "Now we match" she smiled.

"Oh, cute!" Celestia mused. The two spent the rest of class talking and getting to know each other, and found out they had more in common than they thought. Celestia didn't expect an emo vampire to have anything in common with a girly fairy, but they both collect stuffed animals, enjoy a lot of the same cartoons, and have a love for plants! Celestia was excited to see where their freindship would lead. But, in the back of her mind, she was nervous. If she succeeded in her plan to become the star, she would be taking Lucinda's place. If the role meant as much to Lucinda as it did to her, she knew it would hurt the girl.
