I looked over at Enid scornfully as she looks away from me, probably out of guilt. I always warned her there has to be boundaries when it comes to her vlog, but she always seems to ignore me. Enid turns back around with her phone in her hand playing a loud, preppy song. All I could do was watch as the scene in front of me unraveled it's self.

"Turn that off, this is your final warning." The annoyed boy warned as he chased Enid to grab ahold of the source of music. Obviously not wanting anything to do with either of us.

"Rawr!" Enid half jokingly cried out. Before extending her painted claws out.

"Don't mess with me. This kitty's got claws, and not afraid to use them!" I turned to go back to my dorm and take a nap. I was soon stopped by our dorm mother, Ms Thornhill, the first normie teacher who teaches at the school.

"Good evening, children. Oh sorry for the mud." Ms. Thornhill said with a pleasantly soft voice. I noticed her holding a flower pot, holding a exotic, black flower.

"I wanted to make sure that Wednesday was settling in. Ah, is it a bad time." She finally asked before placing in on the closest flat surface. I made my way to the unique plant to admire it better. I tuned out their conversation as I gently caressed the black, thin petals. Careful not to harm the flower in any way.

"She's been smothering me with hospitality... I hope to return the favor. In her sleep." Wednesday calmly said, and with that. I snapped out of my trance and made my way back to Enid's side, trying to hold a protective stance. I know Enid could handle herself, but I'd rather help at least a little than watch her handle it all by herself.

"I'd suggest staying in your own room during lights out." I warned, my E/C fixated on the gothic boy. I then slowly relaxed my posture, but still cautious.

"Well, here's a little welcome gift from my conservatory.  She motions to the black flower from earlier.

" I try to match the right flower to each of my kids. When I read your personal statement in your application, I immediately thought of this one." Ms. Thornhill added.

"What is it, I might decide to grow one of my own." I said half jokingly.

"The black dahlia" Wednesday answered.

"Oh, you know it?" Ms Thornhill asked

"Of course. It's named after my favorite unsolved murder. Thank you"

" Okie- dokie. Before I leave, I want to go over a few house rules." She starts. I tune her out since I already know the rules. I finally tuned back into the convorsation whenever she told us not to harm or scare eachother. Once Ms. Thornhill left the room all of us exchanged awkward glances.

" Well I'm tired, are you coming Enid?" I suggested, more than eager to get Enid away from Wednesday so there's no tension anymore. Once both Enid and I made it to our dorm, Enid looked at me. Giving me the a smirk I knew far too well.

" No " I flatly answered, already knowing what she's going to say.

" Oh come on, you don't even know what I'm going to say."

" You're going to ask me if I find Wednesday attractive. I've known you for most of this semester, it doesn't take a mind reader when it comes to you and crushes." I argued, finally getting comfortable for bed. After a while of relaxing it was disturbed.

" Well is he? " Enid pushed. In a millisecond a pillow met her stomach.

" Go to sleep, Enid." I said while the both of us laughed.
