I opened the door slowly and quietly. "Zach?" mom asked and crossed her arms. "Oh. Hey mom" I said awkwardly. "Where did you go?" she asked. "Um for a ride" well I didn't lie.
Laughter echoed in my head. I threw my hands over my ears.
"Did you hear them when you where with her?" she asked. "No" I said and realised that the whole time I was with her I didn't hear a thing but my own thoughts. Man, it's refreshing.
"Mom I didn't hear a thing" I said with a huge smile. She's my sanity.
