chapter 3.

"Care to explain why you are leaving the neighbors apartment at 4 in the morning?" mom asked me and crossed her arms. "I was just being friendly. I helped her unpack" I said and shrugged. "Is that all that happened?" she asked. "No" I said quietly. "Zach you didn't" she said and put her hands on her hips. "I'm sorry mom. I think she's different" I said. "She maybe different but your still the same" she said.

"Mom I've changed" I said and she shook her head. "That's what you said last time. What are you going to do if the voices come back?" she asked me.

"They won't come back!" I yelled and my chest heaved up and down. "Calm down" she said put her arm on my shoulder. I took a few deep breaths and ran my hand threw my hair.

"They won't come back" I said more calmly. "I'm sorry hunny. Get some sleep" she said and went in her room.

Wake up

My eyes flew open and I looked around the room. No. No. No no no no.

Got a new friend buddy?

No they can be back. No not now. It can't happen again. Not to Casey.

Do you have a new friend Zach?

The voice asked forcefully. "No" I said. I could feel my whole body shake.

We think you do. Don't lie to us Zach.

I didn't answer. I turned on my side and held the pillow to my ear and tried to block the voices out.

(There's two voices one is like this and the other is just this)

What's she like Zach? Is she like Brenda? I liked her.

I still didn't answer.

C'mon tell us about her

"Go away" I said threw gritted teeth. They just laughed at me.

We're not going anywhere. We will never leave Zach.

I pulled my knees to my chest and cried to myself. "Go away. Go away Go away" I repeated and tears ran down my face.

I woke up around 7. Three hours of sleep. I must have cried myself to sleep.

I went in the kitchen and started making coffee. "You look terrible" mom said and I rolled my eyes. "I didn't sleep much" I said. "You where talking to yourself" she said. "No" I said. "Zach I heard you. They're back aren't they?" she asked. I started bawling and she hugged me. "Don't worry. I'll call the docter"
