My name is Idris Edmond. I never knew what i was doing until I met my sweet sherry.
Akwaugo was my school mate back in the elementary school. But I later took my common entrance examination and graduated. Although, we were both friends in the school then, and we grew up in the same environment.
So when I graduated from my basic school, my parent sent me to special science school. After six years i graduated, I entered university. Akwaugo back then, she dropped at elementary six because her parent were not buoyant enough to send her to secondary school.
Back then, she always create funny moment, which made people to be calling her "mgbeke". And to me, I like playing with her because I was a playing type then. Among all my friends, she seems to be my best friend. Sometimes I fought to defend her , and sometimes she fought to defend me too. Although she was a dounce then. She didn't know anything. She don't even know how to write the English alphabet.
Akwaugo was from the family of six wive. Her mother was the sixth wife in their family.
So the responsibility of catering for the whole family, made her father to disregard Akwaugo and her mother.
So when I finished my doctorate degree, I was set to start work immediately.
One day, I began to trace my life right from my elementary school to the university level, I was such a stubborn he goat. (Odogwu adi epempe), that's what I called myself, and all my friends knew me with the guy name (Odogwu adi epempe).
Sometimes, my mother will ask me how I do cope with ladies, but I will give her one useless response, (mama, odogwu adi epempe). My mother will laugh and say, 'ehwuu my son, it is well'.
I messed up with girls to the extent that people began to refer me as a womanizer. The worst part is that I don't date one girl, I date two's at once, and I don't repeat dating ladies. Some of them may come back, as in, for us to continue from where we stopped, but I will throw them away because, I want a fresh thing.
This is how I kept wallowing my life in darkness thinking that I was smart.
One day, my mother called me and ask me a question that melted my heart. She said, 'Idris, what are you planning to do with your life? I mean, you are not getting any younger. Your father built this house at the age of 35 and got married at the age 30. At first, I wanted to memorize her words, but being that the stubbornness and pride has overwhelmed me, then I responded, 'mama don't worry, odogwu adi epempe'.
My mother smiled and left. Ever since then, I began to give every movement i make a second thought.
That was when I began to look into the characters of a woman, to know if they behaves like my mother.
Then I started imagining living with one woman for the rest of my life, just like my father.
This is when I started seeking for a decent girl, A neat flick, an intelligent girl and a mother. Because to me, apart from being stubborn, I am such an intelligent boy and a neat flick. But at this time, i was memorizing on my mother's words.
