Puck's POV

I woke up out of nowhere with a jump for the umpteenth time tonight and looked over to see the alarm clock on my dresser flashing 12:00 in its annoying bright red tint. "Damn it. The power must have gone out at some point." I mumbled as I got out of bed and rubbed one of my eyes with the palm of my hand. Yawning, I glanced out the window and it was still dark, but I still had no idea what time it was.

I very begrudgingly turned on my light to find my phone, groaning and pinching the bridge of my nose. I finally found it in my sheets and pushed the button on the side, lighting up my screen. "4:37 am. Damn." I mumbled as I walked over and reset my clock before turning off the light and falling face first on my bed, falling back asleep, not even bothering to get under the covers.

Next morning

I walked downstairs and was trying to plan out the day. When I turned the corner, I screamed as I grabbed my chest with one hand and the doorframe with the other. "Jesus, Tana! What in the hell are you doing here?" I panted as Santana looked over her shoulder. "What does it look like, dumbass? I'm making breakfast." I raised an eyebrow. "Why in my kitchen?" She rolled her eyes. "Because it's FOR you. Now sit." She pointed to the bar in the kitchen and I sniffed as I went and sat down.

I heard feet running down the stairs, and there she was. In her footsie pajamas and her stuffed cow tucked in the crook of her arm. "Daddy!" I smiled and stood next to the bar, squatting with my arms open as she ran into them. "Hi, princess! You seem very awake!" I kissed her cheek with a smile.

"Santana, did you get her up?" She shook her head as she pushed eggs around a pan, scrambling them. "No. Neither of you were up when I got here. I would have brought her down with me if she had been awake." I nodded before I looked down. "Sassy!" Santana smiled as she walked over and took the dark haired 3 year old from my arms. "And good morning to you, Miss Briar." She walked back over to the stove and sat Briar on the counter.

(NO BECAUSE IT JUST MAKES SENSE THAT SANTANA'S AUNT NAME WOULD BE "SASSY" DOESN'T IT?)

"You want a lick?" She offered her the spatula that had chocolate chip pancake batter on it. "Santana. That is so gross. Who would want to lick that?" I scrunched my nose up as she glared at me. "Shhhh!!! Let us have our Sassy-Briar bonding!" I put my hands up in surrender and chuckled. "Now, don't touch the black and grey parts, baby. It's super hot." My daughter's eyes widened and she nodded. "Okay, Sassy."

I had my head on the counter and felt something hit my head. "Ow! What in the..." I stopped seeing Briar staring at me. "What was that?" I rubbed my head as Santana shrugged. "An apple I had in reaching distance. You good?" I nodded slowly, trying to make sure I DIDN'T HAVE A FREAKING CONCUSSION BECAUSE OF HER ASSAULT.

"We had a...rough night last night." I nodded to Briar babbling to herself on the counter. "Up. Every. Single. Hour. On. The. Hour. Until like 3 am. And it was just everything. She needed a drink, she couldn't find her cow, she had a bad dream, she just wanted me, she was generally discomfited with her life. I don't know! She was even in my bed at one point until I moved her back to her room. And... she literally... she goes to bed at 7, SANTANA. SEVEN. PM. Do you know how many hours that is between 7 and 3?!"

Her eyes widened and she nodded, clearly concerned. "Okay..." She turned and grabbed Briar, putting her on her hip. "I think Daddy just maaayyyyyy be losing it..." She said in a high pitched tone. "So we're gonna get some food in him and then he is going to go to bed while Sassy hangs with Briar." She baby talked to Briar but I could tell it was pointed at me. And knowing Santana...
