I sighed as I rubbed my neck and walked into my room. "Mommaaaaa!!! The washer beepin'!!" Colt called out from in front of my door as I got up. "I know, babe. I hear it." I sighed tiredly as I stepped over his dinosaurs, ruffling his hair. "Hey. Be sure you don't get too close to the stairs...in fact..." I muttered before I trailed off and grabbed the baby gate, locking it onto the stairwell. I didn't need my four year old needing stitches today. I got the laundry switched over before I went back in my room, sitting in the floor and started to fold the clean laundry that was everywhere. "Momma! Momma!"

Colt came running into the room and my eyes widened, thinking he was hurt. "What, sweetie, what?" He put his hands on his knees and panted. "I! Found! My! Green! Dino!" He squealed as he held a plastic green stegosaurus up above his head. "You member? He went missing and you couldn't find him? Member? He redappeareded!" I smiled tiredly and was so enamored with how my toddler could find such joy in something so small. "That's so awesome bug!"

He smiled and squealed as he ran back into the hall. I chuckled and pushed myself up off the floor, going in the hall undoing the baby gate. I smiled as Colt took my hand. We walked downstairs and just as we did, the front door swung open. "Daddy!!!" Colt let go of my hand and jumped off the stairs, skipping the last two steps and running to Sam, jumping in his open arms.

I smiled at him and nodded in his direction. See...we're not exactly together, but we're not just coparents either... we have a... specific relationship and a complicated one at that. We don't see other people or date, but we're also not a couple together. He stood up from hugging Colt, picking him up as he did. He held him on one hip and side hugged me.

"So how was your day?" I asked as we walked into the kitchen. Sam nodded as he set down Colt and he started playing in the floor. "Good. Yours?" I nodded. "Good." I said with a soft smile in his direction before I started to get stuff to make dinner ready before my phone went off. I turned off the sink and wiped my hands on my jeans before I grabbed my phone. "Rachel Berry wants to FaceTime." I looked at Sam and shrugged as I slid accept. "Hello?" I asked in a question as Rachel's face appeared. "Hey!"

She joyfully said as I saw her going to sit in a window seat of her New York loft. "Kurt's been feeling...down... lately and I'm trying to see if I can get some of the New Directions back to Lima to maybe raise his spirits? Are you in? I'm working on making calls to everyone." I nodded. "Sure. I just need to know what day. But I'm pretty flexible. I miss you all so much!" I gushed to the brunette on the screen. She smiled and nodded. "I know! The last time I saw you was..." She trailed off with a sad smile. "Finn's funeral." I nodded as I finished her sentence.

"Next weekend? Everyone comes in Thursday and leaves the next Wednesday? Those that can?" I smiled and nodded. "Yeah, sounds perfect!!!" She smiled and I knew if I had been standing face to face with her, she'd hug me. "Thank you." She whispered as she nodded. "Of course. Love you, Rach." Again, her smile returned. "Love you!" I ended the call before I looked up at Sam. "You up for a Glee reunion?" He smiled and nodded. "Sure thing! Let's go!" I smiled at Sam. "Okay. Guess we're going back to Lima." I sighed as I spoke, feeling the stress of needing to pack come up suddenly. Sam sensed my uneasiness and smiled. "I can help pack stuff. Don't worry." I smiled and thanked him.

That night

Sam had helped me put Colt to bed and then went home. I was in bed reading a book when my phone went off. It was Quinn texting me. I smiled and set my book down before I read it.

Q- Hey, has Rachel called you yet?

- Yes. You?
- Well I guess she has if you're texting me about it.
