The second kid

Queen Fae and King Cyril were overjoyed to discover that they were expecting their second child. They couldn't wait to expand their family and to share their love with another child. However, when they told their 7 year old daughter, Princess Lila, the news, she didn't seem thrilled.

At first, Queen Fae and King Cyril thought that Princess Lila just needed some time to adjust to the idea of having a sibling. They tried to involve her in the preparations for the new baby, asking for her input on the nursery decor and letting her help choose baby clothes.

However, as the pregnancy progressed, Princess Lila became more distant and moody. She would often retreat to her room and refuse to talk about the new baby or participate in family activities.

Queen Fae and King Cyril were worried about their daughter's behavior and decided to talk to her about her feelings. They sat down with her and asked her how she was feeling about the new baby.

"I don't want a new baby," Princess Lila said, tears streaming down her face. "I don't want things to change. I don't want to share you with anyone else."

Queen Fae and King Cyril listened patiently, understanding their daughter's fears and concerns. They reassured her that they would always love her and that having a new baby wouldn't change that.

They also explained to her the many joys of having a sibling - having someone to play with, share experiences with, and create new memories with.

Over time, Princess Lila began to warm up to the idea of having a new baby sibling. She started to ask questions about the baby and even began to suggest names.

As the due date approached, Princess Lila was excited to meet her new sibling. When the baby was born, she was overjoyed to hold her new brother in her arms, feeling a sense of love and responsibility.

Queen Fae and King Cyril were grateful for the opportunity to help their daughter adjust to the idea of having a new brother. They knew that it was a big adjustment for her, but they were confident that with love and understanding, she would learn to embrace her new role as a big sister.
