The Question

Princess Lila tentatively approached her mother, Queen Fae, with a request that had been on her mind for days. "Mother, may I wear short dresses from now on?" she asked.

Queen Fae looked at her daughter, taking in the nervous look on her face. "Why do you want to wear short dresses, my dear?" she asked.

Lila took a deep breath. "I want to feel more confident and comfortable in my own skin," she said. "I'm growing up, and I want to express myself in a way that feels true to who I am."

Queen Fae smiled. "I understand, my dear," she said. "But remember that as a princess, you are a role model to others. It's important to dress in a way that is appropriate and respectful."

Lila nodded, understanding her mother's concerns. "I promise to dress appropriately, Mother," she said. "But I also want to feel like myself and express my own style."

Queen Fae thought about her daughter's words and realized that she was growing up and needed to be allowed to make her own decisions. "Alright, my dear," she said. "You may wear short dresses, but only if they are appropriate for the occasion and respectful."

Lila beamed with happiness and hugged her mother. "Thank you, Mother," she said.
