Lost

You went about your normal day. Taking your tasks as a maid and also a cook. Well a cook of the maidens of course. You took care of them, taking in new ones and presenting them to the Countess.

She would dismiss some and agree to others. She told you directly one day,

"You take them in. You take responsibility for there actions."

Her cold and monotone voice shook your core. You nodded and were dismissed.

The new maids were not accommodated to the ways and sought to leave. You told them not to and that if they stayed they'd be paid many.

They would cry and cower at the daughters, even the countess herself! But the others and you yourself would help them to become strong and go with there day.

Come time for dinner you were requested for a meat stew. You agreed of course.

Walking toward the back doors of the castle you came to an abrupt stop, a fly landed on your nose then a whole storm of them appeared.

Bela, Cassandra, and Daniela appeared before you.

"Where are you going?"
Bela asked.

"Hello girls, I'm going on a hunt to find some meat for tonight's dinner."
You replied.

"Well in that case could-
Bela was cut off by the voice of,

"Can we come!"
Daniela asked excitedly.

Cassandra gave a flick to the ear of Daniela making her pout and look angrily at her. Bela rolled her eyes and gestured to what Daniela said.

"Of course you may, at the same time why ask? You have free will."

You then walked forward, them following suite.

There you sat, with the girls by you.

"Alright, now we wait for an animal to walk into the trap."
You said pointing to the net.

"Why can't we just go out and hunt!"
Daniela whined and stood up.

Cassandra pulled her down and seethed at her.

"Your going to scare off the prey!"
She grumbled.

Daniela only pouted and you looked at her adoringly then reaching into your pocket you pulled out a piece of candy.

"Here this will keep you company."
You handed it to her and she squealed.

Come time for the prey nothing. No meat stew for tonight.

Then signaling for the girls to come, gunshots were fired.

"Cover!"

You shouted, they all dropped to the ground. You then signaled for them to crawl toward you.

The hunters then shot at your wavering figure. The bullet nearly getting you. You ran toward the girls and grabbed them by the arms.

"Run! Run as fast as you possibly can!"
You pulled them up and on to there feet. The weather changing, it was no longer sunny nor hot, it was a cold wind that swept through the forest.

The girls shivered and you immediately took your coat off and gave it to Daniela. You then took off your other jacket and threw it to Cassandra. You then pulled out a black cloth that was to carry the dead animal, tossing it to Bela.

You all running still,

"Go! Go!"
You yelled.

They all wanted to turn back and fight but it was too cold now. Shots being fired where a no good sign.

A bullet then came flying toward you, hitting your back side. You couldn't feel it that much but you definitely felt it pierce your body.

You kept running till you couldn't hear the sounds of anything but your breathing and heart beat.

Not noticing the bear trap, you ran forward and slam shut did it on your foot.

You immediately stumbled to the ground letting a pained cry emit from you. The girls turned to see you. They all stopped and turned running back to you. You looked at them and told them to run home and don't turn back nor look back.

"Go! Run home! Don't turn or come back for me!"
You yelled to them. They ran so fast, faster than they ever could. They ran with the wind and the adrenaline that coursed through them.

'Run! Run! Run!'
Daniela kept reacting in her brain.

They heard the last shots going off. And hearing your screams of pain.

They made it home and through the front doors them came. Tears and the sound of grief came over everything.

The maids looked at them and started to help dropping there things and going to there aid.

Three maids went to the Countess. Telling her the commotion happening just from where she sit.

She rushed down to her children maids giving way to her.

"What has happened?"
Her Horus voice echoing loudly.

They all looked petrified and scared. They tried to say something but all broke into tears. Daniela being first to answer.

"Mother! Our maiden has been caught by hunters!" She then cried and her sisters hugged her. Cassandra being next to talk.

"She was shot and her foot became trapped! She told us to run, run as far as we could!" She then wiped her eyes and held her youngest sister in her arms.

The countess only furrowed her brows and looked to Bela who was catching her breath from running and crying murder.

"Bela? What happened, why were you outside!" The countess roared.

"We only wanted to join y/n—

Many gasps and could be heard from the crowd full of maids and butlers. All talking and worried about your safety.

—on her hunt to find a suitable animal for dinner! She was caught because of us and now she's probably dead!"

Bela began to break down, the countess could only feel a sort of sadness seeing as her daughters are dreadfully crying and to know you are not safe.

Lady Dimitrescu stalking the village as she walked through. All of the villagers gasped or screamed and ran inside. To no evade the angry countess smashed the door down, ripping some off there hinges.

She would hiss and show her sharp, pointy fangs. Anyone who dared to talk back or shoot at her would immediately be ripped to shreds of stabbed through with huge talons.
