It was a perfect and normal day today. The sun was shining and the sky was clear the birds were chirping. Everything was perfect... until.

Your work shift was over. Time to go home now. You thought with a sigh of relief. You started packing your things, as you were doing so you got a call. You checked the screen name, unknown.

You didn't answer letting it ring. Seconds later another call sounded, you checked again seeing it was that unknown number. Putting it to the side you checked your desk for missing items.

None.

You grabbed your bag, phone, and keys. Your phone, again started to ring again, thinking this might be some jerk calling over and over, you put your phone on silent and stuffed it in your bag.

Leaving your office you started your walk through the long corridors. Taking turns left than right then left again. Many hallways later you made it to the elevator. You pressed the elevator button and the wait for it's arrival began.

You were on the 20th floor and the elevator took a while to come up, mostly on nights like this that are busy.

You decided to check your phone for any messages or miss calls from your wife or friends.

Just as you were doing so the elevator dinged. You looked up in the midst of the doors opening.

You looked like a child being caught doing something bad but then saw a woman standing inside leaned against the back part of the elevator and pulled yourself together.

You got in and pressed the first floor and stood on the other side of the elevator. You scavenged for your phone and finally found it.

You opened it and looked at the time.

'Shit...' you got off late once again this week but this time it was almost 1AM.

You went through your messages, nothing but the unknown phone number that rang 15 times. You cleared everything and went to messages than pulled up Alcina and typed a message but then you got another unknown phone call.

You sighed and picked up,

"Hello." You asked annoyed.

"Hello!?" The voice yelled from the other side.

"Who is this and what do you want." You said in a hushed tone,

"This is Alcina and who are you!?"

'Oh...' I thought. The lady looked at me and I gave a small smile,

"Alcina...wha— who's number is this? Who are yo—

"Why didn't you pick up!?" She yelled more than necessary into the phone, making you flinch and pull the phone from your ear.

"I- I didn't know-

"You worried me Y/n!" You could hear the worry and hurt in her tone that made you frown, feeling bad.

"I—

Your sentence was cut short with the sound of,

'Beep Beep'

She hung up.

You eyebrows furrowed and you slowly took the phone and looked at the screen, tears welled up in your eyes but you blinked them back and put your phone away.

You started to fiddle with your clothing and couldn't stay focused zoning out and completely forgetting about the other person.

The lady stood up more efficiently and tapped your arm.
