"when Stanley got to the bottom of the stair case, he flipped on the Lightswitch."

And Stanley did just that. Stanley turned on the light, to be met with no ordinary office room.

This room had scheme webs all over the walls, pictures of his co-workers at each end of string, Stanley being on one photo too.

In the middle of the room there was a table with a audio tape player on it.

"Once Stanley had got a good look of the room and he had taken it all in, he walked over to the audio tape player, and pressed play on the tape that was preloaded."

Stanley followed the Narrator's words like a puppet. Though, he was enjoying this.

He pressed play on the tape, and his ears were bombarded with loud static like noises. Stanley stumbled back slightly, but not too long after the noise started it stopped, and Stanley heard the voice of one of his co-workers.

"Entry no. 58. This is employee no. 432."

"Employee 432?"

The Narrator stayed silent so that Stanley could listen to the tape.

"Progress on my discovery: no. I haven't yet managed to gather any more information since my last entry."

"Information on what?"

The Narrator once again left Stanley in silence, untill the person in the tape spoke again.

"Something is stopping me from discovering what happened to my coworkers. I don't know what did this, but they planned for someone to stay behind. Clearly. I- wait I can see someone.. HEY-"

then the tape ended.

"Stanley was left in shock by the recording. Someone else was here? One of his co-workers were still in the building? And clearly, they must have spotted Stanley at some point. Stanley stood and thought about what he could do with this new information."

And Stanley did stand and think, for a rather long time in fact. He thought back on every run he had ever done, and realised that, yes! A few times, he had spotted another person walking by the window! He could never seem to get their attention.. that must've been 432!

Though, Stanley also remembered this small detail.. one run, he was curious about where his screen was in the mind control room, and while he was looking, he found one screen that said "fired" in red capital letters. he had waited for the screen to go back to its number, and he recall it being one very specific number.

432.

"Ah, you're clever, Stanley! I was worried you wouldn't figure that out."

The Narrator said with a sigh of relief, before he got back in character.

"After he was done brainstorming, he realised that employee 432 had been fired a little while ago. These tapes must've been recorded before then.. but how long ago? How long had Stanleys co-workers been missing? Why didn't Stanley feel as though it'd been too long?"

Stanley sat down in the office chair by the desk and pondered.

He thought deeply about what all of this could mean, when he decided to investigate the scheme web.

Press O to interact

Stanleys eyes lit aflame once more, as he interacted with the scheme web. He looked over it, following it all around the room. He moved a few photos as well, ordering it better, probably doing what 432 had failed to do.. adding that last piece of information.

And once he was done, he stepped back. 247. Everything leaded to 247. All of the ends of the strings were pointed to his photo.

"[What?] Stanley thought. [I don't understand..] he stumbled back a little due to the confusion. Everything pointed to him. Was everything his fault? He had no memory of doing anything to his co-workers. If he did, why would he be looking for them?"

Stanleys eyes widened in shock at his discovery. He did in fact stumble back, a little more than the Narrator had flavour texted.

It'd been so long since Stanley had felt like this... He was so used to being a robot he almost forgot what it felt like to find new endings.

"Then it hit him. He must've been the boss! Yes, that's it! He was the boss of the company, he was behind all of his co-workers disappearing! But what had wiped his memory? Who knows. All Stanley knew right now, was that he was the equivalent of a warlord."

Then the back wall opened up to reveal a large, overdramatic throne room.

"Stanley walked up the the throne, proud he had finally found his place, proud he finally understood his own worth."

Stanley didn't just walk, he strutted up to the throne. He had a huge smile on his face, mainly because this wasn't at all what he was expecting, but also partially because the Narrator comes up with some pretty wacky ideas.

"He sat down on his pure gold throne, and felt a sense of power rush over him."

And once Stanley sat in the throne, he felt just that. A wave of power flow through him like water running through a river bed, he shivered at the intense sensation. It was a good shiver.

"Stanley sat proud on his throne, as he accepted his title of boss. As he accepted his title of leader."

Stanley sighed with a huge smile, and leaned back in his throne.

Then everything went black.

The end is never the end is never...
