Our last semester together

CHAPTER 2

"with that you can now get the sum of x..."

I point the x on her paper.

"Wow Fluke, thank you so much! I really had a hard time getting this problem since yesterday but now I finally got it!"

I gave him my books, she looks confused but still reached it. I smile a little.

"You may have that for a while. I wrote every formula and explanation there so you can use it every-time you had a hard time studying. If you need more books you can ask me, I got a lot!"

I saw how her eyes glistened from happiness.

"Thank you Fluke! I think Ms. Sha is right, this group study will really help us."

The smile that plastered on my face slowly fades. How can this be a group study when that giant monkey wasn't here?! He's supposed to be here a few minutes ago to help us!

"Emy? Can you call Ohm now? He's been 30 minutes late. Does he have a football practice?"

"I-i don't know Ms." Emy said

"He doesn't have any practice or schedule today Ms. He's usually free at this day." I said while I flip my notes

"Really..."

"I'll leave you two here for a while, I'll just call someone. I'll be right back!"

We let Ms. Sha go while we continue our study. Emy wasn't that good at math but she's good at literature. She help me when I have questions and she gladly answers me.

"Ohm! You're finally here!" Emy said excitedly

He sit beside her and start to look around

"Where's Ms. Sha?!"

"Uhm she-"

"Searching for you?! You've been late for almost an hour!"

I cut off with their conversation.

I expect him to glare or say something but he just ignored me and start to open his books. This makes me annoyed but when I saw Ms. Sha coming back to our table, I just let it go.

"Ohm, good thing you're now here. Let's go back to studying."

We start to discuss the topics we think that can be part of the competition. We list all of it and we will start to study them one by on within the first week then on the second week we will try to give our thoughts about the topic so we can have different ideas and opinions about it.

"I know one week is a short period of time but I know the three of you can do it and I will give everything to help you. We will win and we will give our school its first win to this competition!"

"Yes Ms.! We can do it!"

Emy gave a weird gesture to Ms. Sha and Ms. Sha also did it.

"Fighting!" they both said

I just look at them weirdly. They acting like a child.

"You and Ohm should know how to have fun. We're just young but you two feels like on your fifties."

I glare at Emy. I'm just 22!!

"Let's just focus on this." He said seriously

After a few hours of studying this is the first time he said something. He looks serious... much more he looks so tense.

I go back to reading the books but I find myself checking him every minutes. There is something wrong.

"Can we take a break?" I ask

"Oh sure! I bet you all are hungry. Let's get some food first."

Ms. Sha and Emy was the first one who went out. He's cleaning his table when I ask him

"What's wrong with you?!"

He look around searching for something when he point his finger to his face

"You're talking to me?"

I rolled my eyes "Isn't it obvious?"

"No." he answered quickly

"and there's nothing wrong with me. stop minding my own business."

He walks out with one of his hands on his pocket.

"Asshole!" I said and leave after I clean my table.

"Ms. He's been always late for the review. This will be the last day and next week we need to have a discussion but how can he gave us something when he's been late most of the time?!"

Thitiwat being unprofessional this time wasn't funny anymore. At fist I thought he's just messing with me but this time I don't think this is all for fun.

"I understand Fluke, but can we focus on what we got now? If Ohm can't contribute something next week I'll talk to him."

"But miss you're the one who said that we need to be a team here. How can we do that if one of us is always missing?"

Ms. Sha was about to say something when I saw him with Emy.

"Finally, he's not late today."

When they finally settled down, we start to review and discuss a little about the last topic and since I read a few things about this when I was in second year I told them the ideas I have. Ms. Sha and Emy like my ideas aside from of course that alien guy.

"I get your ideas about this but it's been what? Two years since you read this and you just read some of it. There's new study about this and I think we could just go with it since it was latest!"

"You're not getting the point here! It's just an idea, it wasn't an answer! The reason why we're doing this is to gather all the information we can have!"

"Well I don't trust your information!"

That's it! He gets on my nerve and I hate it!

"You know what? I don't want to do this anymore! Let's just go on our own!"

I start packing my stuff and I saw how Ms. Sha got panic.

"Wait Fluke! Let's talk."

I didn't listen to them and I just walk out the room.

Ms. Sha tried to stop me but since he doesn't know what to do I escape quickly.

"Fuck you Thitiwat. Wish you choke your own food!"

"Fluke!"

"WHAT?!"

"Wooh! Calm down tiger! What happened?"

"P'Kao!"

He put his arms around my shoulder.

"You and Ohm got into each other again?"

I rolled my eyes on him

"He will always find ways to annoy me and today it wasn't funny! I just want to punch him in the face!"

"It's our last semester and I'm still hearing those lines from you."

"And this time I'll make sure to do it."

I crack my knuckles while P'Kao just laugh and mess my hair.
