Our last semester together

CHAPTER 9

FLUKE POV

"Hey Fluke, you okay?"

I look at Sammy, she stop eating just to check on me.

"I'm okay Sammy. I'm just thing...king..."

I stop talking when I saw him laughing with Emi. Sammy also look where I was looking.

"Oh... they got close this past few days. We've seen them a lot of times last week, I think they're partners in a project."

As Sammy keeps babbling things, I feel like I want to punch someone but at the same time I feel there's something wrong with my heart...

"By the way Fluke, can I borrow your books? I'll just take some notes later...Fluke? You listening?"

"Yes Sammy, I'll give it to you later."

He turn his head towards me and his expression got serious when he found me. I look away and I just saw in my peripheral vision that they leave the canteen.

I took a deep breath and I was shocked when I saw Prem looking at me like I did some crime.

"What?' I tried to intimidate him

"Hmm, nothing. I just realized that our last semester here will be REALLY extra fun, right?"

He gave me a meaningful look but I ignored it and start to leave.

Why everyone getting weird?!

2 days before the party...

"Do you think the pink one is better or the purple one?"

"Sammy, they're the same!"

"No they're not!! This one is pink and this one is purple!"

"I'm talking about the design! Not the color!"

"Oh... so which one is better?"

"Why are you asking me? You're the one who's going to wear it!!!"

SLAM

I slam my book on the table. Prem and Sammy keeps arguing about something and I can't focus on what I've been reading.

They got shocked. Prem and Sammy look at me and I glare at them.

"If you won't let me study in peace, I'll just leave."

"Sorry Flukie. I'm just excited for your party, aren't you excited?"

Sammy put aside the dress and sit next to me while Prem sit across me.

"No. I still have a lot to do before the prelim and I was left behind when I took a break from school. I shouldn't get out of focus."

Especially now that I'm so close to defeating Ohm.

"You're not left behind Fluke. Loose a little, you're too tense that you forget to enjoy."

"Prem is right Fluke. Loose a little bit, it won't hurt you."

I ignore them and tried to get back from studying but I can't focus so I look at the window and I regret doing it.

From the outside I saw Emi and Ohm walking together. After what happened at the canteen, I always see them together whether on the corridor, library, laboratory, deans office, etc. They're always stick together.

I don't know what's going on between them, In fact I don't care it's just that I always see them in school, other students also notice it.

I should have focus on myself rather than thinking what's with them but it would be nice if Ohm will focus on Emi and fail this semester...
