You were standing at the agreed upon area with Saiki, no conversation had been engaged only comfortable silence.
At least until Teruhashi showed up between the two off you, soon followed by Nendou, Kaido, and then Aren.
It was nice to see everyone again, you thought.
You don't know why but it feels like it's been ages since you all hung out.
As the group made their way to the entrance, Saiki stayed behind, waiting for you to snap out of whatever trance you were in.
You give him an apologetic look as he remained emotionless, he held out his arm for you to take which was surprising to say the least.
You took his arm nonetheless of course. It must've been because of all the people that were entering and exiting.
He must've not wanted you to get lost.
"Sorry for making you wait." You started, which to no surprise, he didn't respond. He gave you a hum at least, but that was about it.
As you and Saiki walked side by side, the bustling crowd around the entrance seemed to fade away. The aquarium's cool, salty air filled your lungs, making you feel lighter.
You glanced at Saiki, whose expression remained as unreadable as ever.
You couldn't help but smile to yourself. His quiet presence was oddly comforting.
Just ahead, Nendou's loud voice boomed across the entrance, causing a few passersby to flinch. "Hey! Aren't we gonna see the sharks first? I heard they're huge!"
Kaido, ever dramatic, crossed his arms and nodded seriously. "Sharks? Hmph. Those are mere sea creatures compared to the ancient beasts lurking in the deepest oceans! But I'll lead the way to protect everyone, naturally."
Aren, walking a little behind them, chuckled. "Yeah, sure, Dark Reunion's gonna battle the sharks today, huh?"
Meanwhile, Teruhashi, who had gracefully taken her place in the middle of the group, smiled radiantly. "Oh wow, everyone's here! This is going to be so much fun, right, Saiki-kun?"
She turned back with a sparkle in her eye, but when she noticed you holding onto Saiki's arm, her smile faltered for just a second before returning to its usual brilliance.
Saiki, of course, said nothing, his eyes still focused forward. You could sense a slight wave of exasperation from him, though.
Was he just always nonchalant with everyone or just internally groaning every time they go out as a group?
