Cassidy's sandals slapped against the cold floor as she sprinted across Hartsfield-Jackson Atlanta International Airport. The entire building was jam packed with people eager to leave the blazing heat of Georgia, while those stepping off of their planes were hit full in the face by the bright sunlight shining through the many windows in addition to the sticky weather.

Cassidy had made the ridiculous decision to grab a coffee ten minutes before her flight and was further distracted by the selection of books in a nearby shop. Her reasons were acceptable but her timing was not.

Tossing the empty cup into a bin and shoving her new book in her backpack, she tried to navigate through the sea of sweaty travelers. After bumping into several people and being flipped off by a few more, she finally skidded to a halt in front of her gate where the flight attendant was checking someone's ticket.

"Good morning, ma'am. Can I see your ticket?" the attendant asked, flashing a charming smile.

"Of course, of course," Cassidy quickly handed him the ticket and adjusted the pair of sunglasses on her face.

"Hargreeves?" the man stared at her with a surprised expression while she grimaced. She'd hoped to go somewhat unrecognized on her trip, paparazzi plaguing her about Allison's divorce or Ben's death wasn't something she had planned to experience.

She only hummed in response as the attendant turned back to the computer before him.

"Ah, first class. You'll be enjoying a comfortable flight. Do you have any preferences for seating?"

"A window seat would be perfect."

"Alright," the attendant tapped again on the keyboard of his computer then smiled at her again. "Enjoy your flight!"

Cassidy nodded and made her way onto the plane and into first class. It was well light, and cool and there were few other passengers, many of whom sat a distance away from each other. Cassidy picked a window seat and crammed her bag underneath the space in front of her after taking out her book. On the cover it read Extra Ordinary: My Life as Number Seven by Vanya Hargreeves. The back showed her sister's photo which she stared at; it felt like only yesterday when she'd left the Academy — when they were children. But everyone had grown up since then and moved on.

Except, it seemed, Vanya.

She'd already read the entire book twice when the sun began to disappear over the horizon. The water below dissolved from a crisp blue to fiery red and orange until the moon replaced the sun. The only time Cassidy looked up from her page was to refill her glass of wine or turn up her headphones volume of endless piano solos that made up the majority of her playlist.

Vanya's book was gutsy, that was only one many words Cassidy could find to properly describe the exposure of family secrets and torture that their father enforced upon them. It adequately revealed the monster that Reginald Hargreeves truly was.

Luther was probably going ballistic, in his eyes, Reginald was what every good parent strived to be. Cassidy only hoped Vanya's book could knock some perspective into his thick skull.

Vanya had written a few chapters for every one of her siblings, each with a brief description before delving into just about ever personal aspect of their lives. It proceeded by their designated numbers, beginning with Number One.

"Arrogant and self-centered, Luther cares more about being a hero than anything else. It's certainly more important to him than his family."
