"Would you run away with me?" He asked with a sparkle of hope in his eyes.
-Somwhere in Steve's mystical living room-
A big sigh escaped my lips as I threw my head down on the pillow which was resting on Steve's lap.

"So then what did you say?" He asked looking down at me while playing with a strand of me hair.

"I rather not tell you" I groaned and punched the pillow on Steve's lap earning a groan back from him.

"Hey! Watch it, little Steve is right there" He whined as he pushed me off of him which landed me face down on the ground.

"Who cares, I'm stuck in a hard place right now and I need you" I kicked my feet and shouted into the floor.

Steve ran his hand through his hair before helping me up and sitting me down on the couch. He then grabbed the sides of my shoulders getting my attention.

"You need to be honest with him about what you want once and for all" he pumped me up.

"Yeah, yeah you're right I do" I slowly started to nod my head in agreement.

"But what if he doesn't want what I want" I began to panic.

"You both want to get out of here that's all that matters" he reassured me.

"I just feel bad for changing topics after he asked me" I replied with a feeling of guilt and shame wash over me.

*flashback*
"I just found out I'm allergic to copper" I blurted out stupidly.

"Oh uh that sucks I guess" Billy mumbled while sitting up.

"Yeah, it does doesn't it? because I-I like pennies and that Statue of Liberty! I mean really the most glorious French statue which is a symbol to this great country, these very United States that our founding fathers made a place for freedom and liberty!" I kept rambling as I sat up too talking with my hands.

"Where would the country be without'em" he sighed opening a beer and taking a big gulp staring straight forward licking his lips after.

"I mean if you think of it they really just meant freedom if you were a white man...women and people of color were just not promised the same thing you know?" I continued on and ended up actually getting into my topic.

*Back to the present*

"It can't be that bad, cmon tell me what you said" Steve replied nudging my knee.

I shut my eyes hard and then told Steve what I stupidly said.

"BAHAHAHA ARE YOU KIDDING ME Y/N" Steve began to hysterically laugh in my face making me feel even more embarrassed.

"Keep laughing and I'll cut your throat out" I warned him making him immediately stop.

"You're a mean chick" Steve cleared his throat and looked down in defeat.

"Should I go see him?" I asked sighing the biting my nails to ease the nerves.

"Yes you should" he replied taking my hand in his then rubbing his thumb over my knuckles to calm me down.

"Thank you for the talk Steve" I smiled and hugged him which went on longer than I had anticipated.

I finally pulled away and sighed looking at his smiling face.

"You're the bestest friend I've ever had" I said before I kissed his cheek then raced out the house riding my skateboard all the way to Billy's.

When I got to his house I snuck around the side and knocked on his window, a few seconds went by and then his head peeked out the curtain.

I mouthed the words "can we talk?" And he nodded his head then opened the window to let me in.

After I got inside I scanned his room which just consisted of a pack of cigarettes on the bed, two empty beer cans, and a pair of my underwear which I decided to bring up after I talk to him.

"So how's it going" I start the conversation while looking down at my feet kicking the floor with my hands behind my back.

"Same old shit" he replied sitting down on his bed staring at me looking frustrated.

I slowly look up to meet his eyes and his gaze softened for a split second before going back to his cold stare. I fiddled with my nails as I walked over to his bed to sit down next to him.

"I just want to talk about what happened" I frowned at him suddenly feeling that same guilt I felt before.

He sat in silence waiting for me to continue still staring at me.

"I was completely thrown off guard and I didn't mean to leave you hanging like that and changing the subject" I spoke taking his hand into mine squeezing it a little.

"I mean it is a big decision but you either want to or you don't." He stated attempting to say it nonchalantly but I felt being in his energy is he secretly wanted me to say yes.

"I do but I still want to graduate here before I leave" I said looking up at him as he turned his head to meet my eyes.

"You want to graduate here?" He questioned me like I was crazy.

"Yes...." I trailed off.

"What am I supposed to do in the meantime?" He asked another question.

"Uh graduate too?" I now questioned him like he was the crazy moron.

"Oh yeah right" he said looking the other way before I giggled while judging him earning a smile.

"Are we okay?" I asked him catching his attention.

"Of course we are" he replied before pecking me on my lips. I smiled as he pulled away still holding his hand into mine then scanned the room again.

"Why do you have my underwear right there" I confronted him.

"You left them here" he nonchalantly replied again, but I knew he was attempting to cover up his perverted actions.

"I never leave them here I make sure of that" I pushed further.

"You're a little thief Hargrove" I teased him.

"Yeah so what I am" he proudly spoke making me scrunch my face up.

He turned fully lifting me up slightly causing me to squeal as he laid me down on his bed while kissing me.

"And a pervert too" I broke away from the kiss giggling at the dirty blonde man towering over me.

"That too" he smiled down at me while chuckling making my smile bigger before he started to kiss me again.
