She had changed into one of Manik's oversized shirts as her luggage was still in the car. She was waiting for him. Something just told her that he'd be devastated. He was really sensitive when it came to his parents. Now when he'd be meeting his father's old friend, she was afraid what effect it will have on him?
The doorbell brought her out of her thoughts. She ran to the main door and pulled it open to see Manik standing outside.
As expected, he looked very much devastated. His eyes were red with the tears burning inside them.
Nandini didn't speak anything. She just closed the door, held his wrist and guided them to their bedroom. Manik silently followed her. His heart was again and again reminding him not to hurt her at any cost. As they entered the bedroom, Nandini made him sit on the bed. She helped him remove his Sherwani. But then she remembered that once he had told her that he sleeps with only his boxers on. She bent down on the floor and took a hold of his lower.
"Are you sure?" He asked.
She nodded and helped him remove that as well. She neatly folded his wedding clothes and put them beside her bridal attire.
"Are you hungry, Mani?" She asked.
Manik shook his head.
Nandini laid down beside him and covered both of them with a warm duvet. She wrapped her arms around him and kissed his forehead. Manik placed his head in the crook of her neck and closed his eyes.
Nandini was curious about what exactly happened to him. But she didn't want to disturb him.
She began caressing his hair to make him fall asleep. She felt him kiss her neck before falling asleep. Her hands rested on his bare back as she tried to fall asleep. After half an hour or so sleep finally embraced her.

The next morning, Manik woke up to the feeling of fingers playing with his disheveled hair. He slowly opened his sleepy eyes to see a wide awake Nandini playing with his hair.
"Oh, Good Morning, Hubby." She passed him a warm, enthusiastic, bright smile.
"Good Morning, Wifey." He pecked her lips.
"My luggage is still in the car. Please bring that inside." She requested him.
"I will." And he again closed his eyes.
"Mani, please wake up."
"Just ten more minutes." He mumbled against her neck.
"Alright." She agreed so easily and it didn't sit well with him.
"You know, you can throw tantrums. You don't need to be so careful around me. I won't hurt you, I promise." He told her while getting up.
Nandini couldn't deny that she really was afraid that if she behave stubborn around him he will start behaving rude with her. But his assurance relieved her.
"Mani," she put her hands on his shoulder before continuing, "you should seek psychiatric help." She was a bit nervous about his reaction. But then it was him who said she need not to hesitate around him.
"Maybe you are right. Let me bring your luggage." He nodded, accepting the fact that he indeed needs mental help.
He went to get her luggage from the car and returned with it in next five minutes.
"Here's your luggage. Wear something hot today." He sat down on the bed while saying so.
"Okay."
Nandini pulled out her clothes from the bag and entered the washroom.
