I was headcannon-ing for a while that Tali was a little older than (Y/N), because I didn't know how old she was in the games. This is mainly because I like characters a little over the age of 20 before any **strange** things happen. Y'know what I mean by that. Actually, in reality, I didn't even need to do that. For context purposes, (Y/N) is 21 during the the events of this story. If he hadn't died in the Normandy attack, he would have been 23.
So yeah. This is mainly to calm my own nerves, but it's also trivia for the Mass Effect series, and who doesn't love that?
