Sakura was dead tired. Working a 14-hour shift at the vet clinic with only a 30-minute lunch break took its toll on her. If that damn kid Deidra didn't quit all of a sudden then I would have been at home hours ago! Deidra was a recent hire that was sketchy since he always talked about blowing stuff up, but she really needed the help and he just walked out on her this morning after refusing to allow him to blow up one of the birds that died. Who The hell blows up dead animals?!

Sakura was cleaning up from the dog that she had to open up to pull out a few children's hot wheels. Honestly, dogs eat anything sometimes. Sakura sighed after looking at the clock realizing that she missed her favorite drama 'Keeping Up With the Hyugas'. Neji was proposing to Tenten tonight after 5 years. She has been waiting for this since high school god damnit! She ground her teeth together as she ripped her scrubs off in the locker room roughly shoving them in her small locker. She heard the bell on the front door jingle and groaned as she realized she forgot to lock it. She ripped her scrubs out and quickly threw them back on while she walked to the front.

"Good evening, we are supposed to be closed right now but if it is an emergency then I will see what I can do." She said not looking up as she pulled her clipboard from behind the front desk so that she could get the patient's info.

"It's an emergency so if you would fix it for me now." A deep voice snapped at her causing her to grip the clipboard.

"If you're going to be rude then you can lea-!" Sakura stopped with her mouth hanging open as she stared at the man in front of her. He was breathtaking. Almost as though he was carved by Michael Angelo just to come to life. His navy kimono and black haori did a poor job at hiding his body features as he had then slightly opened to show off his chest. Everything about him screamed Greek god, except his face. His lips were pinched and he was glaring fiercely at her.

"Are you gonna stare at me for the rest of the night woman or are you gonna help me?" He snapped at her, Sakura was ready to give him a piece of her mind and kick him out when she began to notice there was slight movement behind him that she didn't notice before. It moved again and black feathers poked above his board shoulders. She scrunched up her face confused about what legal pet bird had that big of a wingspan. With more movement, she noticed that the man's breathing became a little erratic every time the feathers moved.

"Is your bird's wing hurt?" She inquired as she began stepping closer to him. Even if he was being an asshole that didn't mean she was going to turn away an injured animal. He looked at her confused before his eyes lit up in realization. He smirked at her as he turned around showing her his back. She gasped at what she saw and stumbled back against the front desk. He looked at her over his shoulder with a bored facial expression as he carefully flexed his giant midnight blue wings.

"I broke the metacarpus on the left wing. It's a clean break and will heal fast but I need help setting it. You're a vet so I figured you could help me out."

Sakura was convinced she passed out from exhaustion after the surgery on the dog because there is no way there is a Greek god with wings standing in front of her. Her mouth was ajar and her eyes were practically bulging out of their sockets when the man cleared his throat in annoyance.

"You're annoying. Are you gonna help me or not?" He said to her, she closed her mouth and swallowed loudly as she got up from the desk and moved towards him slowly.

"I can help set it." She whispered as her trembling fingers brushed against the broken area. The feathers were extremely soft and gave off the smell of burning firewood. They were nothing like regular bird feathers and she caught herself thinking about how she could stroke them all day. "How did you break it?" She didn't need to know, but she was curious to know how such a creature could be so careless with its wings.

"None of your business." He grunted as he folded his arms across his chest. Sakura could see his ears were slightly red so it must be an embarrassing story.

"Alright, follow me to the back and I'll set it and wrap it for you." Sakura turned around and began walking to the back room where all her equipment was. The clacking of her short heels on the tile seemed to boom in the halls with the deafening silence. Finally reaching the room she wanted she opened the door and walked over to the shelves behind the table.

"Go ahead and sit on the table while I get my gloves and wraps." She said as she searched for the wraps she put away not too long ago. There they are! She grabbed the wraps and headed to the sink and scrubbed her hands so she could put her gloves on. She looked at him and saw that he had already turned with his back facing her. She walked to his wings and grabbed onto the two sides surrounding the broken area and quickly snapped them together again. The man, or bird who knows at this point, grunted from the abrupt pain.

"You could have warned me." He hissed out while she began wrapping his wing to stabilize the break. She smirked even though he couldn't see it and tugged some of the wraps tightly causing him to straighten up.

"Where would the fun be in that?" She giggled at him as she was tired of the wrap.

"Annoying."

He got up from the table and experimentally stretched his wing a bit only to grimace slightly. She sighed and felt bad for her rough handling because it was still a broken bone and broken bones hurt.

"Don't be using that tonight. For now, you can stay here for the night and leave tomorrow morning." She offered him the night but really she wanted him longer so she could poke and prod to figure him out. He looked at her suspiciously.

"Hn" He grunted his agreement to her offer. She once again started the cleaning process so she could finally go home. After locking up hat scrubs and the front door she headed towards the back door where her car Kia was parked.

"Thank you. I am in your debt, woman." Sakura stopped and turned around to glare at the man who was standing halfway through the open door.

"My name is Dr. Haruno Sakura, not woman!" She growled at him while she batted her teeth. Such a misogynistic ass!

"My apologies. Thank you Dr. Haruno. My name is Uchiha Sasuke and if you ever wish to ask for my help then just call my name." He plucked a feather from his wings and let it go and instead of falling to the ground, it floated toward her. Surprised, she opened her hand and the soft feather fell into her waiting palm. She closed her fingers around it and looked at Sasuke. She smiled at him brightly and tilted her head slightly.

"Thank you Sasuke-kun! I hope you have a good rest of your night." She said, and then she turned around before he could say anything and finally headed home. Behind her, she left a bright red Uchiha who decided in that instance that human women were very annoying...but also very cute.
