"I believe you should stay at the compound. It isn't safe for you to go back home."Madara states this while Sakura is applying the salve. She stops what she is doing and looks up at Madara.

"Well, that is just silly," Sakura laughs. "I can't do that I have a clinic to run, and I am perfectly capable of taking care of myself." Madara raises a thin brow and looks at her injured arm. She huffs at his look and brings her arm down.

"I was caught off guard and not prepared. I didn't even know the feather would work!"

"Of course, it would. I told you about them and what it meant to have them," Madara said as he crossed his arms."The clinic will not be an issue. I can have an Uchiha escort you there and back every day."

"An escort? I. Do. Not. Need. A. Babysitter." Sakura accentuated each breath between her words in order to not burst from anger.

"It wouldn't be a babysitter. They would just take you to your clinic and return when you get off work." Sakura glared at Madara. She could understand his worry but wasn't so weak she couldn't protect herself. What if the two men come back though? Would she be able to defend herself then?

Sakura sighed at her dilemma. She didn't really want to go back home and be alone. At least if she was here she wouldn't be alone. It is better to be surrounded by a bunch of protective tengus than be by herself in a cramped apartment.

"Fine, I will stay, but I want to pick out my escorts. I don't want to be paired with someone I don't know." Sakura relented. Madara released the stress on his shoulders and nodded at her request.

"That will be alright."

"I would like Itachi, Sasuke, Shisui, and Izuna. Only if he is up to it though." Sakura demanded as she ticked off her fingers to each name. Madara nodded again.

"I will arrange it with them," Madara stood to his full height and went to leave the room. "This is a guest room, so you may stay here. You can explore the compound but try not to wander too far."

"I was hoping to see Izuna, do you know where he is?" Sakura asked. Madara looked to his right and nodded his head in that direction.

"Izuna is taking tea on the engawa (porch)." Sakura moves to the door but looks at Madara once more before leaving.

"Thank you for helping, Madara. Sakura smiled at him and he bowed his head toward her.

"Always." Madara turns and leaves while Sakura turns right and heads toward the engawa. She notices Izuna sitting with his legs hanging over the edge. She steps up to him.

"May I join you?" Izuna looks back up at her and smiles. He fans his hand out to the spot next to him.

"Please do."

It has been a few weeks of Sakura staying at the Uchiha Compound, and during that time she has seen Madara a few times. They weren't even long moments, just quick passing ones. He was avoiding her and she couldn't understand why. She knew who would though.

During her stay, she met many Uchiha. Her relationship with her four Uchiha escorts has grown as well. Sakura has grown close with them and feels as though she could stay at the compound forever, but forever is short for her.

Sakura heads to where Izuna spends most of his days. Lounging on the engawa with a cup of lavender tea.

"Izuna-kun, may I join you?" Sakura asks. He looks back at her and smiles.

"Please do." He repeats this every time she asks. Sakura settles down next to him and takes the offered cup. Izuna pours a cup of lavender tea and adds a glob of honey to it.

"Your sweet tooth is as bad as Madara's" Izuna murmurs as he takes a sip of his tea. Sakura stirs her tea and looks up at Izuna.

"Speaking of Madara, do you know why he has been avoiding me?" Izuna grimaces and takes another sip before answering.

"He is worried about ruining you," Sakura scrunches up her face. "He understands that if you both enter a relationship together that your life span is shorter than his. He is worried that the pain of this will drive you toward a deep depression."

"That's stupid," Izuna chokes on his tea and looks a Sakura with his mouth slightly parted and his red eyes wide. "During that time we would just spend it looking for a way where I could live alongside him. I'm sure there is a way to." Sakura clenches her fist with determination. Izuna simply stares at her in astonishment.

"Maybe, but Madara would not risk you over something that may be a possibility. It would need to be set in stone."

"Then I'll do it beforehand. Then he can't keep avoiding me forever." Sakura stated. She set her cup down and looked at Izuna.

"Thank you for helping me, Izuna-kun." Sakura gets up and begins heading out to find a certain tengu.

"Be careful Sakura, do not break my brother's heart."

"I could never." She replied. Sakura left to go find Madara to tell him of her plans. She found herself wandering near the borders of the compound where the forest line began. She saw a glint in the trees and became curious. She brushes off Madara's warning of going too far and continues forward.

Sakura comes to a clearing in the woods and finds an extremely pale person standing there. They almost looked like a snake. The person flicked out a purple tongue and hissed.

"It is wonderful to finally meet you Sakura-chan." Sakura looked at the person confused. She had never met them before yet they knew her name.

"Who are you?" She asked.

"I am Orochimaru."
