Percy barely survived till the next summer.

Nine months passed rather quickly as he was back with his mother who forced him to go back to school. A school that was of course filled with more mean kids just like Yancy Academy. What made it a bit better was the letters. Annabeth wrote but not as much as Cressida did, seeing as she had less to do because she wasn't in school like the two of them. Though, Percy was a little let down when Cressida said she wasn't able to visit for Christmas or New Year's because her brothers had come to camp for a surprise visit. He did, however, get a very happy Iris message from her when she received his Christmas gift for her. She hadn't expected a gift from him, she didn't think they were close enough friends to actually exchange gifts and she didn't think he was serious about wanting her over for Christmas, apparently, she was wrong on both accounts. Percy had gotten her a polaroid camera, a way for her to see her brothers and him without technology.

He had his own in which he sent a few pictures of his own. Him on a skateboard. Him eating a massive plate of blue cookies. Him with a Santa hat on and a present in his lap.

But Percy found that Cressida was much better at taking photos, something he told her and as such, she'd started including at least two photos in every letter she sent to him.

There was one of her laughing on Castor's shoulders. One of her standing victorious on a table as her brothers and father sat dejected around it - she destroyed them at pinochle, again. There was a cute one of her and Castor smiling at the camera as Pollux was behind them, hog-tied by grapevines with an apple in his mouth. The one that came the week after was even more hilarious because this time Cressida and Pollux were the ones throwing up rocker signs at the camera while Castor was the one tied up behind them.

But the one that was Percy's favourite was one just of Cressida. She was in a camp t-shirt and denim shorts, her raven hair out and blowing with the wind as she stood, barefooted on the shore of the lake, her tongue out at the camera.

That was the polaroid photo Annabeth had seen stuffed in Percy's notebook on the last day of school - before he destroyed said school. Well, giants did, but Percy was still there.

It's just a shame that the next time he actually saw Cressida, she was nowhere near as happy as she was in the photos she sent.

When Percy arrived at camp, the second he, Annabeth and Percy's new friend Tyson, got out of the Chariot of Damnation, they could hear the sounds of battle.

There were bulls made of metal were seriously whooping the asses of the ten heroes that were dressed in full armour as they fought. As they fought on the other side of Thalia's magical pine tree - a feat that shouldn't be possible.

"Border patrol to me! Get off your ass, Lynn!" a gruff girl's voice called.

"They tossed me into a tree. Twice!" a voice raged back, one that Percy was very well versed with, especially when it came to yelling at him.

"How long can you hold it?" the first girl asked.

"Until they burn it up. Like the last two times!"

"Just go!"

And the trio watched as Clarisse, the gruff girl that Annabeth identified, cupped her hands as she launched Cressida into the air, the girl landing on the back of a bull as she drove her spear through his skull, before the vines grew from the earth as it wrapped around him. Clarisse and the six campers whose helms weren't on fire then attacked the bull with everything they had. At least until one of the other bulls began to breathe fire, destroying the vines that held the first one in place as it began to buck, Cressida flying off its back and landing hard on her arm.
