i just redid this whole chapter so please reread and ignore any mistakes!!
After class, me, Anna, and Maya rushed to lunch. On the way, I turned around to look at Maya and ran into someone.
"Shit, sorry." They mumbled and walked away as I looked down to see me soaked in water.
"Dude, what the fuck." I said as I took off my jacket that was dripping with water.
"It's alright, Juney. Come on let's get to lunch." Anna said. We quickly sat down at our usual spot near Gabe, Jafeer, and Sam. Everything was normal. We were planning to hang out since Anna's mom said she'd take us all to Blockbuster after school. As I was about to speak, I heard a voice,
"June, can you come here for a minute?" Someone with a voice a didn't recognize. I apologized to Maya and got up to see Miranda, an 8th grader.
"Hey." I said, not knowing what she wanted.
"I've seen you after school and shit." She said, slightly turning her head. "June, you're pretty cool you know that?"
"Sure, I guess." I replied.
"Heres my number, call me after school and we can go to shopping." Miranda said with a grin. The Miranda invited me.
"Alright!" I said as she walked away.

"Glad to see you could make it, June." Miranda said as I met her inside of a clothing store.
"Yeah, I tried to call you but it wouldn't work." I said but they just laughed.
"Oh yeah, I forgot to tell you. My number doesn't work anymore." Miranda replied. I looked around the store and it was super expensive.
"Guys, I only brought ten dollars." I said as her and her friends broke out into laughter again. But I watched as she grabbed a pair of thongs and slipped them into her bag as the two cashiers weren't paying attention. Then they just left me. Feeling disappointed, I went outside and sat on a bench while some lady sat next to me with stacks of bags. She looked as if she was on an important call. I saw that her purse was wide open, so I carefully reached in and grabbed her wallet and ran. I went up to Miranda and her friends.
"Guys. Guys! I totally just stole this."
