Sebastian woke up in Jasper's car. He sat up, startled, and then calmed down. He snuck a glance over at Jasper and realized that Jasper had been looking at him. They both gave each other shy smirks at being caught. Sebastian made himself comfortable in the seat and watched the road as they sped to his house.

Jasper pulled into the driveway and parked. Sebastian slowly opened the door and got out, mentally preparing for his dad's worried lecture. They walked up to the door, and Sebastian pulled out his keys. He unlocked it and led the way in. Charlie was sitting on the couch, waiting for one of his children to come home. He looked up and saw Sebastian and Jasper. He quickly got up and pulled Sebastian into a long bear hug. Charlie let go and held his son's shoulders.

"Are you okay? Is Bella okay?" Charlie asked.
"I'm fine, dad. Bella is fine. She ran into some trouble with some drunk frat boys. Edward Cullen is bringing her home. I trust him, so she's safe." Sebastian explained.

Charlie nodded and released Sebastian. Sebastian gestured to Jasper to follow him up to his room. They walked through the living room and up the stairs. Once they entered Sebastian's room, Sebastian shut the door and locked it. He sighed and turned to Jasper.

"So, what else do I need to know?" Sebastian asked.
"Well, the family only drinks blood from animals, and some of us have abilities. Alice can see the future, and I'm an empath. You already know about Edward's ability." Jasper listed.
"Okay, why do you like being around me so much?" Sebastian questioned.
"Every vampire has a mate. That mate is the only person a vampire will love. A vampire's bloodlust is nonexistent around their mate. Mates and their scents are also very calmin'." Jasper explained.

Sebastian nodded and sat down on his bed, the adrenaline was starting to wear off. He sighed, steeling his nerves. He signaled to Jasper that he wanted him to join him on the bed. Jasper sat down and got comfortable.

"There's something I want to do, and I want to sort of prepare you for what's gonna happen," Sebastian muttered.
"Sebastian you're tired. I don't want you to exhaust yourself because you think it's the right moment." Jasper stated.
"What? No, I wasn't talking about that. I wanted to let you in." Sebastian explained.
"Oh, well there ain't any way to prepare for somethin' like that. Just let everythin' go, I can handle it." Jasper reassured Sebastian.

Sebastian nodded and closed his eyes. He inhaled, held his breath for a moment, then exhaled. As he did, he let his emotional barriers down slowly to give Jasper time to process sixteen years' worth of emotions. Jasper gasped at the magnitude of Sebastian's emotions. Pain was at the forefront, but he could feel pieces of happiness and joy in the mix.

Jasper felt venom rising in his eyes as he felt everything. He let out a quiet, dry sob as Sebastian reached out for him. Jasper felt Sebastian's arms wrap around him and he buried his head into Sebastian's shoulder.

They both clung to each other as Sebastian finally let go of everything. Sebastian fully relaxed in Jasper's hold and slowly fell back against his pillows, taking Jasper with him. He was emotionally and physically exhausted. Jasper worried for a split second that Sebastian was in more pain, but realized that Sebastian was just getting very sleepy.

"Sebastian, I should get goin'. You need to sleep." Jasper whispered.
"Mmfff, just stay for the night. I just found out how comfortable you are, and you seem to be in no hurry to get up anyway." Sebastian muttered.
"Fine, just for the night. Then I have to go okay?" Jasper muttered.
"Okay..." Sebastian said as he fell asleep.

Jasper smirked as Sebastian fell asleep. He placed his hand gently on Sebastian's torso and felt Sebastian shift towards him slightly. He realized that his lack of body heat probably made Sebastian feel more comfortable and that Sebastian was a very warm individual. Jasper sighed, still processing Sebastian's emotions, but could feel the relief Sebastian felt at being able to let go of everything he had bottled up. The night slowly progressed until the sun started to rise.
