Jacksonville Showdown

Bella woke up in a hotel bed. She quickly got up and went to the living room. Sebastian and Jasper were sitting on the couch, Sebastian looked up as Bella came in.

"Hey Bells, sleep well?" Sebastian asked.
"How did I not wake up until now?" Bella questioned.
"That would be mine and Jasper's fault, we kept you asleep, so you wo -." Sebastian stopped in the middle of speaking.

Jasper looked at him and sped over to the coffee table, and grabbed a piece of paper and a pen. He sped back to Sebastian and gave him the pen. Sebastian began to draw as his eyes remained glazed over. Finally, he stopped and took a breath. Jasper and Bella looked at the drawing, Bella recognizing it instantly.

"That's the dance studio that we went to for ballet. What did you see, Seb?" Bella asked.
"All I could see was the building and a lot of mirrors. Nothing else." Sebastian admitted.
"Edward is gettin some food. We need to check out soon." Jasper informed Bella.
"Actually, we need to check out right now. Your stuff is in Edward's car. Can you stay here until we come back for you?" Sebastian asked Bella.
"Yeah, of course." Bella replied.

Sebastian and Jasper nodded and quickly left. Bella then got a call from James. She sat for a good minute, not knowing what to do, then she made up her mind to go to the dance studio. Jasper and Sebastian were walking back when Sebastian inhaled suddenly. Jasper looked at him in concern. He quickly realized that Sebastian was having another vision. As soon as it started, the vision stopped, and Sebastian's eyes cleared.

"I need Edward. He's the only one who can keep up. Get Carlise, Bella will need his help." Sebastian stated.
"What did you see Sebastian? Is Bella alright?" Jasper questioned.
"She won't be if I don't leave now. Edward! We need to go!" Sebastian called.

Edward dropped the food he was carrying and rushed over to Sebastian. He didn't even ask what Sebastian had seen. He just nodded, and they were off. Sebastian led the way to the dance studio. The building was dark and one door had been left ajar. Sebastian stopped at the door, Edward nearly slamming into him. He turned to look at Edward.

"Stay here and wait for Carlise to come. You haven't hunted, and I don't want you turning on Bella." Sebastian stated.
"Sebastian, you know I'd never hurt her. Besides, two against one are much better odds." Edward tried to counter.
"Edward, don't argue with me on this," Sebastian replied.

Edward huffed but nodded. Sebastian inhaled and walked into the building. He reached the main studio and saw a VHS playing. It was a video of their mom encouraging a six-year-old Bella to keep getting up. Sebastian smiled at the memory, then he turned just in time to see James bite Bella on the arm. James looked up with a bloody smirk but stopped in shock when he saw Sebastian's eyes go red.

"You're not like them?" James asked.
"I'm worse. You just pissed off an overprotective newborn." Sebastian growled out.

James' eyes widened. He barely had time to brace himself before Sebastian attacked. They started slamming each other into mirrors, Sebastian adding punches to James's unprotected torso. James screamed in pain and was barely able to throw Sebastian off and across the room. Sebastian slammed into the mirror and partway through the wall. He quickly got out and saw the Cullens arrive. Carlise sped over to Bella, and he immediately checked her. Everyone else was about to come to help Sebastian but stopped when he glared at them.

"He's mine." Sebastian seethed.

He turned to face James, who was trying to escape. Sebastian growled and shot like a bullet toward James. He leaped and wrapped his legs around James's shoulders, grabbing onto his jaw. Sebastian started pulling, and James screamed in pain as he thrashed around, trying to get Sebastian off of him. Then he was silenced. The body fell to the floor as Sebastian landed and threw the head into a corner. The Cullens, minus Carlise and Edward, rushed over and built a bonfire to burn the body. Sebastian sighed and took some calming breaths as he felt Jasper helping him calm down.

Edward was still sucking the venom out of Bella's system. Sebastian pulled him off just as he was about to taste Bella's blood without the venom. Carlise nodded in thanks and quickly bandaged Bella's arm with a tourniquet. Sebastian sat down next to his sister, letting out a sigh. Carlise placed a hand on his shoulder, giving reassurance and comfort.

"She'll be alright. We do need to get her to a hospital. I set her leg, but she needs a cast." Carlise reassured Sebastian.
"Edward can take her. I need a second."
"Of course, you need to rest. You've just had your first fight. You need to process everything. Edward will take care of Bella, and Jasper will take care of you whether you want him to or not." Carlise said with a small smile.

Sebastian let out a small laugh of amusement, knowing Carlise was right. He laid down and sighed again, relaxing as he did. Jasper sped from the bonfire, sat down, and placed Sebastian's head in his lap. Sebastian relaxed further as Jasper ran his fingers through his hair, lulling him into a light sleep. He was shaken awake half an hour later. He groaned and slowly got up from the floor with Jasper's help. Since it was still dark out, Sebastian and Jasper walked to the hospital where Bella was recovering.

(Only two more chapters, and this book will be finished. I'm going to do some more research before I write the second one!)
