Bella and Sebastian were outside with their vehicles. Bella was trying in vain to get the dent out of her truck from the accident. Sebastian was doing a tune-up on his motorcycle for a drive he was planning on taking later that day. Sebastian heard a thud on the truck and, without looking, greeted their impromptu guest;

"Hello Edward, could you make it even more obvious that you're not human?"

"Hello Sebastian, still sarcastic, I see. I just wanted to invite you two to meet the rest of the family. In your case, Sebastian, you just need to meet Esme. Is next week too short notice?" Edward asked.

"Nah, I'm good. How 'bout you, Bells?" Sebastian inquired.

"No, I'm okay. I'm just worried about first impressions." Bella said.

"You're gonna be walking into a house full of vampires, and what you're worried about is if they're gonna like you?" Sebastian asked quizzically.

Edward smirked at Sebastian's sarcastic question and realized he almost forgot to ask Sebastian something.

"Seb? I almost forgot to tell you. Jasper would like to have you come a couple of days before Bella. Is that alright?" Edward inquired.

"Sure, that's fine," Sebastian replied.

Edward nodded and continued to talk to Bella while Sebastian finished up on his motorcycle. When Sebastian looked up, Edward was gone, and Jake had taken his place. Sebastian rolled his eyes and put on his helmet. He started the engine and slowly drove over to Bella.

"I'm going on a ride, I'll be home later. Don't worry, I have my phone if I need to call you or dad." Sebastian stated.

"Okay, have fun," Bella answered.

Sebastian left the driveway and started down the street. He decided to drive around on the back roads and enjoy his alone time. The wind was soft and calming as it brushed past his hands. Once he got out of town, he sped up, the engine roared to life, and he felt the adrenaline rush into his system. He smiled excitedly and leaned forward, feeling the wind whip past him.

While he was driving on the back roads, he found a hidden fork. He slowly turned onto it and followed the dirt road to a hidden clearing in the middle of the forest. It was completely silent as Sebastian came to a stop and turned off his motorcycle. He took off his helmet and took a deep breath of fresh air as he looked at the nature around him. Out of the corner of his eye, he saw a hidden trail leading off into the forest. He decided to follow it and disappeared into the trees.

He followed the trail, expertly dodging branches and roots. He enjoyed the pale sun peaking through the trees and the birds flying around. After a while, the trees suddenly stopped. They opened out to a small beach, looking out to the ocean. Sebastian smiled and excitedly walked onto the beach. He found a large, flat rock and sat down. The salty smell of the ocean wafted over Sebastian. He closed his eyes, enjoying the solitude.

The waves crashed against the beach, providing a natural soundtrack to the surroundings. Sebastian laid back and propped up his head with his arms. He pulled out his pack of cigarettes and lit one. Smoke filled the air around him as he relaxed and enjoyed the cloudy day. After napping for a couple of hours, Sebastian went home.
