Dorcas Meadowes has always been the biggest perfectionist you'll ever have the pleasure to meet. That's probably why she has been annoyed by Sadie Lupin presence in her room the second she put her foot in the doorway. She, on the other hand, would never tidy her room if she could; actually, she usually starts to do so only when the floor is completely covered by clothes, textbooks and whatever else, so much that walking is not an option anymore.

"Sadie Lupin come here right fucking now!" Dorcas shouts, looking at the mess in her closet. She knows it isn't her own, but for Merlin's sake, clothes – if that is what you could call those balls of fabric – are literally spilling out!

She knows that that room is the only place Sadie could go, as it was the only one with a free bed, but she kind of regrets accepting her there without any thoughts or complaints. "Sure!" She had replied to Professor Slughorn, when he explained the situation, "Why would that be a problem? We have an extra bed."

Sadie gets out of the bathroom, a towel wrapped around her wet hair. "What's the matter?"

"What's the–" Dorcas pinches the bridge of her nose, arched browes, "Oh Merlin, are you actually blind? Like, do you physically have vision problems? Should I just call someone to get you glasses? Or do you prefer lenses?"

"Okay, okay, I get it!" Sadie strolls in front of the wardrobe. "It's a little messy, so what?"

"A little messy?" The other girl repeats, and even though they met each other only a week ago, Sadie is sure she has never seen her so annoyed. "I know that this isn't my side of the room, but we all have to live here. Michelle is a little messy, and you don't see me complaining about her. You, on the other hand... I don't think they invented an adjective for your level, yet."

Sadie loudly swallows. "I'll dry my hair and clean it up, alright?"

"Yeah, yeah... sure." She replies, as she lays down on her bed, stretching, "And please stop smoking in the bathroom. It smells."

"You say that as if you don't." Sadie chuckles, hand on the doorknob.

"Hey! At least I have the decency to do it in the Astrology Tower at night, where I don't bother anyone."

In the end, Sadie does clean up her wardrobe. Or at least, she tries her best; which, she thinks, is just enough to make Dorcas happy.

"I just cannot believe it!" Michelle says, between a bite and the other, "You did well, Sadie."

Dorcas nods. "If Lupin really cares, he'll understand what an arse he was, and he'll apologize."

Dinner at the Great Hall is great. Sadie actually regrets skipping all those meals because the atmosphere there is something... magical. It sounds obvious, but the night sky just above them makes her re-think of the whole concept of magic. The chatter, the other kids moving around tables. It gives her a sense of stability she thought she could have only had at Beauxbatons.

"Yeah, but I still feel guilty." Sadie plays with the food on her plate, spinning it around with a fork. "And I'm just an hypocrite – I've said the same thing about Slytherin so many times, why did I get mad at him?"

"Yeah, but you have a reason: you did not have a great welcome - which by the way, is because of his friends - he, on the other hand, hates on us even though he's never even tried to talk to one of us." Michelle explains.

"Let him process what you said and he'll come around in a few days." Dorcas adds, taking a napkin from the center of the table.

"Ugh, I hope so!" Sadie replies, slamming her head on her now crossed arms on the table.
