Clint could really spend a lifetime in that opulence and never be bored of it. Whatever he wanted to do, he just could. Money wasn't a problem obviously. More than that, people were actually trying their hardest to accommodate him in every possible way. The only one who seemed to try to keep him in check was Pepper Potts and she had an odd way of doing it. Despite everything that had improved between them lately, she was still mad.
CEO of Stark Industries, Pepper was surrounded by a whole team to help her everyday. Despite that, she was always stressed out about one thing or the other. Tony could have helped maybe. He wasn't the helpful kind though. More the kind to ride other people's tail. Stane was the CEO when Iron Man was created and in less than a year, Potts had been appointed to the position. The guy was really lazy.
"I thought that Monte Carlo had been enough for a lifetime?" Asked Pepper, pretty annoyed.
It was technically another lifetime but Clint wasn't about to tell her that. On the other hand, he really, really, wanted to drive a Formula one. Clint, in his normal life, really wouldn't have access to those kinds of things. Sooner or later, he would have to go back to his own body. He had no idea how long that would last. He might as well get the most of it while it lasted.
"Well that was a lifetime ago."
"I thought you had changed. Are you dying again?"
"No."
When had he been dying? Did she mean when Iron Man had taken the nuke in the portal? Clint had vague memories from Natasha's assignment within SI. Back then, he had been himself on a mission undercover on the other side of the world. Coming back, he had just read the report Romanov had made. He didn't need to know more. He trusted the Black Widow with his life. It was more than enough for him to make an opinion on the guy.
Pepper left not happy at all. The formula one situation was going to happen anyway. At the end of all that, if those two wouldn't be together anymore, it would actually do Tony a favour.
It had been fun at first but god, the woman was nagging at him all the time. Whatever he was doing, he couldn't do right. Clint had tried at first. He wasn't in his own skin, he thought he should do as much as Tony would. And well to have one up on the genius had made everything better. The sex wasn't that good to go through all that Clint had been in Tony for less than a week and he already had enough of her. Tony liked it apparently. Rich people weren't normal.
Driving that Formula one had been fun but really had nothing against a good car chase while being shot at. Still, Clint could remove that from his list of things to do. He had been crossing a couple already with crazy food and expensive booze. Now that he wasn't interested in Pepper anymore, things were about to get interesting. He would drop the woman as gently as possible unless she would be annoying him about it. And quite honestly Clint already knew that he was in for quite a fight. If she wanted to play dirty, she would have something else coming.
Clint wanted to organise himself a nice five stars vacation with maybe a blond on his right and a brunette on his left but apparently he couldn't. Tony had to invent a bunch of upgrades and new technology for SI to stay on top of everything. The guy had a whole department full of nerds. What were they paid for? Clint knew how phones and such worked enough to be able to do basic hacking. He was nowhere as good as Natasha in that domain. It had never been an interest of his. He was working from afar, a sniper. Romanov liked to be up close on many levels. It worked and really that was what mattered for the mission.
"Friday? Do I have projects in advance for occasion just like that?" Clint asked.
"You do, Boss."
"Well be nice and send some Pepper's way regularly. Thanks."
