There is a girl who awakens herself in a cave. Once she is awaken, she founds herself freed of chains, but she decides to leave the cave as she begins to wander off into the forest then in the city of Megapolis.

MK groans as he is being woken up by being poked by one of the monkeys on Flower Fruit Mountain. Y/n seems to still be 'sleeping' as one of the Monkeys seems to stay away from her. That is until a child Monkey goes over to her and begins to poke her cheek. Y/n opens her eyes to see the child Monkey now going over to MK who screams. Y/n sits up a bit fully opening her eyes as she now sees herself being carried by MK as she sees Flaming Mountains in the distance. She then looks back to see Flower Fruit Mountain in front of the two of them.
MK pointed it out as he carried Y/n on his back. He started to climb up the Mountain. After climbing it, y/n gets off of MK as she placed her feet down on the floor. Y/n follows MK over to a waterfall as MK decides to put hid hand up to it which unlocks it. He then walks into the Shuilian Cave as Y/n quickly follows as the waterfall closes behind them.
MK says, "Hello? Hello? Hello?" Y/n still followed him then she looks up to see a mural that has various friends of the Monkey King. Y/n raised a brow to notice a hooded woman on the wall, 'Why... does this feel so familiar like that time when I felt... 'pain'?' "Hey! That's the Monkey King," Pointed out MK as he points to the painting.
Y/n looks to see MK now having Golden Eyes of Truth, "What? Uhh! What's happening? What's uhhh! What's wrong with my eyes!?" After some rambling, MK runs off. Y/n was about to go follow him, but before she can go she looks back to the painting of the hooded woman. Y/n looks unsure, but she turns back to follow MK quickly.
Y/n goes to see MK sadden as he sits down, "Ugh! What was I thinking? For a moment there I thought. Mr. Tang was right I really am delusional." Y/n goes over to him as she was unsure of what to say or do. That is until a butterfly lands on MK's arm as he spoke, "Sup?" MK gets scared as Y/n just looked in confusion, 'How... how is the butterfly talking?'
The butterfly started to speak, "Yes, yes! It is I, the Monkey Kin-" He gets cut off by Mk who squished him with his shoe. MK removes his leg as he tightly hugged Y/n's arm, "Is it dead? Ohhh." The The Butterfly proceeds to transform into various animals before turning back into his normal form. MK stuttered, "M-M-Monkey King?" Monkey chuckled, "Yep! The one and only. So, where's my staff?" Monkey King and Y/n now see MK on the werge of tears. MK bows down as he cried, "I'm so sorry! I tried to bring it to you but Princess Iron Fan came and took it. She's got this uh... glove."
Y/n just pats MK's back bringing him back onto his feet as Monkey King laughs, "I know, I know. Look, I'm gonna come clean. Um... I've been kinda watching you two." "What?" Questioned Y/n. MK then recalls the events as he stares at Monkey King, "Wait, what? That was you?"
Monkey King laughs, "The look on your face. You're perfect!" Y/n asked, "Perfect for what?" Monkey King answered, "To be my successor?" MK then goes over to him, "Uh? Are you sure your the Monkey King? You've been cooped up in here way to long I think your brain went mushed up." Monkey King picks him up easily placing him next to Y/n, "Listen, Kid. You fought demons and you didn't die. And you made it here. Not just anyone can lift my staff." He then turns as he pulls out a bag of Peach Chips, "But you did."
Y/n questioned narrowing her eyes, "What about Demon Bull King?" Monkey just laughs, "What about DBK? MK can handle it." He turns to MK, "Consider it a trial." Y/n just raised a brow, '...Wait the ****. Wait, why am I being beeped?' MK was about to retort but only sighs, "Look if you can lift the staff you can use it. Just believe in yourself. Even a smidgen makes all the difference. The staff was taken from you. Take it back." MK says with a smile, "Alright!" He then runs off as Y/n just sighs sorta facepalming.
Monkey King places a hand on Y/n's shoulder, "Hey, you remind me of someone I met before. What's your name?" Y/n gently removes his hand as she answers, "...I'm Y/n..." Monkey King chuckles, "Nice to meet you, Cutie." Y/n turns to him very confused, "Erm, okay?" Monkey King eats a Peach chip saying, "I'm Sun Wukong." Y/n just nods until she hears MK yell, "Y/n! Are you gonna come?" Y/n jut turns and leaves behind Sun Wukong who just stares at her as she fully leaves, "Has she lost her memories?"
Y/n leaves the mountain over to the shore as she sees MK waving to her. Y/n and MK goes into theCloud Jet as they got launched into the air.
After some time, MK and Y/n finally comes in on MK's Cloud Jet which he proceeds to crush Red Son with his Jet. Y/n gets out of the Jet along with MK as Pigsy ran over to them, "Kids!" Sandy sighs in relief. Mei runs over to them as she quickly hugs Y/n as Y/n pats her back, "MK! Y/n! Oh my goodness! We saw you two blast into the fire. I thought you two were all like "phew, ahhh" but your not." Meanwhile Tang is poking Red Son with a stick.
Mei still hugs Y/n, "Where'd you two get a Jet? Way to trash it already." She stops hugging y/n, "Wait! Monkey King, did you two find him?" MK responds, "Yeah, I did!" Pigsy asked, "So, where is he?" MK says, "He said it's up to me, to us." Mei comments, "That's anticlimactic." Then they all looked up to the Demon Bull King. Tang stops poking Red Son as he stands up, "And how are we meant to fight that?" MK smiled, "We believe in ourselves. You clean the streets. I'll stop the Demon Bull King. Somehow..."
Y/n crossed her arms as Mei says, "Yeah, this Jet probably would have been really useful, hey?" She kicks it which reveals the speed bike. MK gasped, "That'll work!" Mei cheered, "Go get'em buddy!" He then drives off as Y/n hums silently.

MK yelled, "Nothing is impossible if you just believe in yourself. Make no mistake, you just got MKO'd!" Then Red Son stands up, "You think this is over? It isn't over, bozo. Why don't you just get it of that dorky mech and fight me, you coward!" He then suddenly rolls onto the ground. MK tries to pick Red Son up, but is stopped by a big wind tornado which reveals Princess Iron Fan as she says, "We know when we've been bested but this won't be the last you see of us, Noodle Boy." She laughs and disappears with her family.
MK yelled, "What? No! No fair! Come on, you can't just run away when I'm right about to win." Mei drags Y/n over to the Mech, "MK! You totally kicked FBK's butt. Without us, the city's be toast!" Y/n only sweatdrops as a part of the city is just gone. MK laughs awkwardly as he comes out of the Mech, "Yeah. But you know, I couldn't done it on my own." Sandy comes over and hugs the three, "You did, little man." Mri says, "Your basically the new Monkey King now." Tang laughs, "Monkie Kid, didn't you say?" Pigsy sighed, "You did good, kid. You did good." Y/n asked, "But, er... what now?" Mei questioned, "Isn't it obvious?" MK cheered, "Yeah! Bust up more bad guys!" Tang then says, "Or we could go eat some noodles?" MK and Mei cheered. Mk says, "You should go get Luna and Bae He to join in too, Y/n." Y/n smiled and nodded.
Meanwhile on top of the Monkey King Warrior Mech, Monkey King sits watching the gang. He says to himself, "That Cutie seemed to have lost her memories... I wonder what happened." He then transforms into a bird and flies away as Y/n notices his bird form fly away.
