Love Story in the Volleyball Team

Awkward Moment

        The next day, it was time for practice and Shoyo woke up extremely early this time to try and explain everything to Kageyama. Of course, he was too much of a coward to be able to tell Kageyama.

        "Um...y'know...how I said that I liked someone in the volleyball team yesterday...? I was kidding. It was someone from out the team." Shoyo said to himself. That didn't make sense. Shoyo ran his hand through his hair in frustration. "What am I going to do!?"

        He finally found Kageyama arrive, early as always. Kageyama looked at Shoyo and blushed.

         He blushed! Does he know that I like him!?

        Shoyo looked back at Kageyama. "I-I've never dated anyone before, so I have no advice to give you! J-just go to that person and tell them you like them!" Kageyama said, sweating. Shoyo looked at Kageyama completely surprised. "You're cheering me on?" Shoyo asked. Kageyama frowned. "I just don't want you off track during a match. If this affects volleyball, I'll try and help you out with this." Kageyama groaned. Shoyo blushed. How could he just go up to Kageyama and ask him to go out?

        W-we're both men!

        During practice, Shoyo had missed many passes. He could tell Kageyama was pissed at him right now. They both walked home together nonetheless.

        "Kageyama." Shoyo said.

        "Yeah?"

        "Sorry..."

        "...Let's go do some solo practice at the park."

         I-I'm making him be considerate towards me!

        As they practiced, Shoyo kept on thinking of the many ways he could tell Kageyama that he liked him. He groaned. What if...Kageyama rejected him?

        Shoyo was suddenly hit by the ball.

        "Hinata!" Kageyama yelled.

        Shoyo looked up, with tears in his eyes.

        "A-are you okay?" Kageyama asked, not knowing what do.

        "Yeah. Can...we sit down though?"

        Shoyo couldn't bare the thought of Kageyama rejecting him. He felt as if his heart was being stabbed about a thousand times. He didn't want to tell him, knowing his most possible answer. If they grew distant, it would be even worse.

        "Um...just put a bandage on when you get home....and.......sorry...." Kageyama apologized. Shoyo's eyes widened and his cheeks reddened. He sighed and looked at the ground. They both sat there on the grass, gazing at the stars. Shoyo peeked over at Kageyama. He found him resting on the ground. "D-don't fall..." Shoyo's words trailed off when he saw how peaceful and unbelievably attractive Kageyama looked as he slept.
