Lilly was talking to her daughter about her real father, as she was reaching the right age to know the truth. But fate just had to ruin things for everyone. James ran up the stairs and said a bunch of things. And then he was struck dead. "Take this and hide, no matter what happens. Don't make a sound." She shoved her daughter into the closet and threw the invisible cloak on Hailey. She looked her way and mouthed,"I love you" before getting hit with a death curse. Her body hit the ground a few feet away from the closet. Her lifeless eyes were permanently burned into Hailey's mind. A bunch of death eaters marched into the room with wands out. Voldemort held out his wand in the direction of her little half brother Harry. She leaped the man with such force that he missed his attack. He looked up at the girl and saw eyes burning with rage and hate. "The eyes of pure hate. How beautiful." He stroked her face, she grabbed his wand and whispered softly,"Blitz." A huge beam of lightning went flying through the roof and the sky. It changed shape into a Raven and flew towards someone who could help. She was kicked off the Dark Lord chest. Blood streamed down her face but she was still conscious. The dark lord pointed his wand at her and scoffed disgustedly. "Kill the baby, I'll dispose of this brat." She saw her little brother get killed with minimal effort. Something inside her activates as all the animals in the near mile or so flooded into the bedroom. She stood up and as she cried she said in parcel tongue,"I'll kill you!" He used his wand but something strange happened and Voldemort's body was turned to vapor while Hailey was sent flying into the wall.

The one who got the bird of electricity reached was Hagrid, a friend of the family. He and a few professors headed running towards the house. Severus Snape was included with them. They entered the bedroom and saw a dead James, Lily and Harry Potter. Dumbledore walked away with saddened eyes. Snape mourned over his lost love and when he reached out to touch his daughter's face. She surprisingly woke up and spoke up weakly,"Uncle, Snape?" His breathing was shaky as he scooped her body up in his arms. He rushed down the stairs and out the door. "Hailey Potter, is alive." She had a familiar ring hanging around her neck. "What do we do with her..." She woke up and grabbed Snape and said,"Don't leave me too! Don't abandon me, Hagrid. Uncle Snape..." She passed out as blood dripped off her fingers. Hagrid took her off Snape's hands. "She doesn't know about me? Lilly wasn't able to tell her before dying. That's fine, it's better this way. Lily, I'll protect our daughter with my life."

3 years later: Hailey wandered around the premises of the shack where Hagrid lived. It was right next to the school of Hogwarts. She chased after a butterfly but then tripped and tumbled down a very steep hill. She had an injured ankle and got a minor concussion. She tried to move but her pain was too intense. She crawled towards the nearest tree and leaned up against it. "If only I had a wand or broom. I could get home." She started crying. Something strange happened once again just like when her family was killed. Animals of all sorts came out of the woodwork and surrounded her position. She lifted her head to see deers and a bunch of forest animals looking at her sympathetically. Some squirrels dropped nuts in front of her as a gift. A deer dropped a mysterious fruit down. She reached out and grabbed the fruit with a strange warmth in her chest building up from inside her. She started to cry even more as she smiled brightly. "Thanks so much." She took a bite as tears streamed down her freckled face.

Time passed and the dark engulfed the entirety of the forest. The creatures left her out of fear for the dark creatures lurking around at night. Hailey woke up in a daze as thick fog was limiting her sight. She heard strange sounds and then wolves howling. She tried to move but she was unable to move her leg. Low growling sounds got closer as her heart was engulfed with absolute fear. She grabbed her ring necklace tightly as her lip quivered as the deep growling sounds got so close she could hear the creatures breathing.

Her black ring with an emerald surrounded by several ruby gems in the shape of a pentagram. Was hanging from her neck with a gold chain. It was her last father's birthday gift before being taken in by Hagrid. She didn't know her father's face or voice, this ring is all she has of him. She grips onto it when she's scared, nervous, and needs some kind of comfort.

Hailey whispered softly,"Please help me, someone." Suddenly something warm splattered all over her face and clothes. She opened her eyes to see a huge wolf a few feet away from biting her head. It's body went limp as a huge pool of crimson leaked. It had a bunch of arrows sticking out of his torso. She glanced up at the figure who saved her life. It was human but in fact a centaur. He had a bow and arrow quill over his shoulder. "What's a little witch like you, doing all alone in the dark forest?" He scanned her body and then saw her ankle was bruised. "I understand now. Do you want me to take you home?" She was hesitant to speak and her body was still trembling. He took that a hard no but when was mistaken. He walked away from her, causing her to scream out,"Wait!" He turned to see her body shaking a little less. "My name is Hailey Potter, what's yours?" His breath became shaky and his eyes widened. "The girl who lived? I'm Axel." He held out his hand as he took a knee. "Thank you for saving me, Axel." He pulled her up to his back. He looked around and saw more wolves coming out from behind the tall trees. She grabbed her ring once again as she clenched her teeth. A cold wind blew past her body. Her hair stood up. "Don't you worry we will protect you." "We?" More centaurs came into view and got out their weapons. "You live nearby with Hagrid, right?" She nodded her head. "You are our official neighbor. It's only right to treat you with the same respect. You haven't treated our home disrespectfully." He leaped over a few wolves and dashed up the steep hill. "How about you come back here when you have a wand, alright?" She gripping onto his waist tightly. His skin crawled at the feeling of the darkness in her soul. "She's just so young, how on earth is she filled with so much inner hatred?" Hagrid came back home to see no Hailey. He panicked and rushed out towards the dark forest but then he heard quick footsteps. He got ready to fight back with his wand. He went into shock over the sight of a Centaur landing gracefully in front of him. "Hailey?" "Hagrid!" Axel set her down in the arms of Hagrid. She hugged him tightly. He pulled her in close and apologized for coming home late. She looked back and smiled happily at the centaur before he returned to the forest.

One week later: Hailey was hanging out with her new forest friends when she heard footsteps approaching her from behind. She turned to see her uncle. She lit up with excitement as she ran towards him. His normal expression was grim at school but around her it was in a neutral state. "Uncle Snape!" She looked up at him with a bright smile. He looked over at the animals gathered around the shack. She looked over at her friends,"I'll see you guys later! What's up with the sudden visit, uncle?" He looked down at her emotionless.  "I just wanted to come and check on you." She continued to smile,"Aww, you are the best uncle!" She walked past him and looked over at the school. He turned his head. "Uncle, I was wondering if we could...?" She paused and hesitated to speak her mind. He rested his hand on her head as he crouched down in front. "I'm listening." "Can we go shopping?" "Shopping?" "For school stuff and a wand?" "You aren't going to Hogwarts for a while. Why are you so eager to shop?" "I want to have something to do while Hagrid is out. I'm dying of boredom. I want to learn more about magic, potions and mystical creatures. Hagrid teaches me things but it's not enough." He stood up and held out his hand. "Alright then, let's go shopping. We can't have you dying of boredom on me. Can we?" She grabbed his hand almost instantly. "Right!"

They take a port key to the dark side of town in Diagon Alley. Hailey gets scared and squeezes her uncle's hand tightly. He looked at everyone with a grim expression and his eyes were lifeless. The complete opposite of the little girl clinging to his hand as if her life depended on it. "Where are we uncle?" She looked up at him and saw his death glare and grim expression. He wasn't acting like usual. "Hey there little girl, wanna come inside my shop?" "How about you join us?" "Oh, she's with Snape. I wonder what he's going to do to her, hahaha!?" Hailey felt her body tense up as she continued down the dark and gloomy path towards the bright and beautiful opening up ahead. She couldn't stand the atmosphere and let go of her uncle's hand and sprinted towards the light up ahead. She didn't look back and closed her eyes as she turned the corner. She was instantly knocked back to the ground. "Watch yourself, damn peasant!" She sat up rubbing her head. "Peasant? Who are you talking about?" She opened her eyes and looked up. The bright sun was shining brightly behind the two blonde figures.
