Previously: She couldn't stand the atmosphere and let go of her uncle's hand and sprinted towards the light up ahead. She didn't look back and closed her eyes as she turned the corner. She was instantly knocked back to the ground. "Watch yourself, damn peasant!" She sat up rubbing her head. "Peasant? Who are you talking about?" She opened her eyes and looked up. The bright sun was shining brightly behind the two blonde figures.
Hailey was called by her uncle as he ran towards her looking slightly worried. He went back to looking stern as he turned the corner. "What are you doing? Running off like that was reckless." He looked over at who she was staring at irritatedly. "Lucius, why are you here?" "Severus, don't tell me you have a kid?" Hailey got up from the ground and brushed off her clothes. "I understand now. Please forgive me for running into you two." She looked up at the very serious man and when she glanced over at his son. Her heart jumped out of her chest. She held out her hand and smiled happily at him. "My name is Hailey Potter, it's nice to meet you." His eyes at her last name as he reached out to shake her hand. But his father shoved him out of the way and grabbed her hand instead. "I'm Lucius Malfoy, nice to meet your acquaintance. And that miserable brat is my son Draco." Draco was on the ground trying to keep in his tears. She let go of his hand and stared at him. "How do you know my uncle?" He stood up and straightened out his outfit. "We are old pals, from school. Isn't that right, Severus?" She glanced up at her uncle, he didn't seem pleased with this entire situation. She walked towards the kid and grabbed his wrist and pulled him up. "It's nice to meet you too, Draco." His face turned red as a girl was speaking to him. "We should be friends, do you accept?" He went to say something but hesitated. She got the gist of what was happening. She looked up for a slight second and then said,"My family is legendary, just as yours. We should definitely be friends!" She smiled happily at him. He accepted her request gladly. She looked back up and spoke maturely for an 8 year old,"Is that okay with you, sir?" His eyebrows raised slightly. "Hm?" "Is it okay if I'm your son's first friend?" Draco looked at her sideways. "How does she know that I don't have any friends?" "Of course, you are fully welcome to "hang out" with my son." "This brat isn't exactly what I expected. She's not fully like her father James or mother Lily. Her nature must have changed after watching her entire family being killed. She's kind like Lily but I can sense a little bit of rebellion when she speaks to me. How curious?" She grabbed her uncle's hand and tugged lightly. "Let's go shopping now. We are wasting daylight. Draco I'll see you again at some point. I can't wait until then." She ran towards the crowd of people. Snape groaned annoyed as he chased after her. He was stopped by Lucius. "Why are you babysitting that brat?" "Imagine if the girl who lived turned dark?" He rushed after Hailey. "That does sound like good fun." He continued to walk down dark places with his son trailing behind.
Hailey stopped in front of the bank named "Gringotts Vault" Snape stopped behind her and said, annoyed,"Stop running off on your own." She said bluntly,"That guy was really annoying. The way he treated his son. It made my skin crawl with rage." Snape's eyes widened at how she spoke about his dark comrade. Her instincts were just as keen as her intelligence. She was just like him when it came to being aware of their surroundings. Reading the room and observing the atmosphere for social cues. She was like her mother in that way.
Hailey got her wand. It had Pearl white Marble tip, dark forest willow tree, rest of the wand with a vine designed hilt. (Phoenix Core - Her wand self repairs.) Her broom was expensive and known to be fast. And she got her most wanted books on Magic, potions, and mystical creatures. Returns home on the wizard train. Hailey asks her Uncle about him teaching her more about potions. He accepted her request and said to himself that he was looking forward to it. Uncle Snape taught her how to fly and use her wand properly. She was a natural and passed with flying colors. But of course peace and happiness is always limited for Snape. Fate hates him and he has bad luck.
Hailey introduces Uncle Snape to her forest animals friends. Axel shows up and instantly says,"A death eater!? Hailey get away from that man!" "Death Eater? Huh, what's that Axel? This is my uncle Snape, he's no monster?" A bunch of arrows flew past his face and hit the thick tree. Severus got out his wand and got ready to fight. She panicked and grabbed her wand and shouted out,"Stop!" Tree roots wrapped around their bodies and arms, restricting them from hurting each other. "Please explain what a Death Eater is, Axel?" He struggled the bindings and glared at the wizard and he too was struggling to break free. "The one who may not be named followers, are called Death Eaters." Her heart sank into her chest as she fell to her knees. She let go of her wand and her head fell down. "That can't be true. He's my uncle. He was their friend. Did he get them killed?" Snape scoffed disgusted with this entire situation. He had no other choice but to leave her life until school started. There was no way he could win her heart over now. Hailey was left alone with her Centaur friends. Axel escorted her to his house to recover mentally. She was going to see the Centaur secret home, usually hidden with magic. There was an uproar about him being there but Axel told her to ignore them. She entered his house with her upset eyes slowly being filled with amazement. He offered her a cup of tea as she collected her thoughts. Nothing was making sense. Her uncle was taking care of her all this time. Was he just keeping her in the dark so he could turn her over to the dark lord? All sorts of questions filled her head but no answers came to mind.
3 Years Later: Hailey ran towards the forest. She slid down the steep hill casually with her hands by her side. She bobbed and weaved through the thick forest of trees. Her stamina was through the roof. Her body has grown in size and height. And her control over her magic has become flawless. She used vine creation magic to grapple a branch and swing over the very cold creek. She landed gracefully on the fall colored leaves. She continued to run forward with a wide smile across her face. She had a brown leather sling backpack hanging over her shoulder.
A/N~ Bottomless Storage: (Heirloom) Brown leather sling backpack, hanging over her shoulder. It has all her school stuff, important books, Invisible Cloak, broom, and anything else she might need. | Hagrid gave it to her for her 11th birthday, he won it in a wizard poker game. It only reacts to her DNA and magic. If anyone else reaches inside they can't retrieve anything.
Hailey leaped up to the railing of the wooden bridge that was broken. She shouted out,"Axel!" The gate was unlocked and when she jumped through the magical barrier she was teleported to a hidden village full of Centaurs.
