I got home and it was pretty much uneventful. I ate ramen on the couch while watching Sherlock before going to bed.
Just as I was getting under covers, mum knocked on the door.
"Nat. Someone's here to see you"
I grunted.
"at a time like this they better be reaaaallly good", I mumbled.
"I'm better than good, aren't I?"
I rolled my eyes.
"Hey Dan! What's up!?"
I said with fake enthusiasm.
He tilted his head to the side and looked at me.
"Come on, Natalie. Enough with the sarcasm. I only came by to tell you that I might have been a little rude earlier when u came over."
I smirked, "A little? You wish!"
After a prolonged silence, I stole a side wards glance at him. He looked tired. Not physically, but something in his eyes told me he'd let his guard down.
"I AM sorry. I don't want you to think I was being a snob even when you thanked me."
"Yeah sure. Whatever. Like you give a damn." I said non chalantly, fiddling with my ipod.
He exhaled after a long deep breath and looked me in the eye. The kinda look that makes me want to turn around and run away. Not a fierce one. But still, too intense for me to handle.
He scooched his face closer to mine. "You'll never understand, will you?"
I realized I only started breathing again after his cool breath had broken away from my face. With that he slammed the door shut behind him.
Again. He left with a mystery. He has got to stop talking in codes!
I went back to sleep cause I was a little shaken up.
Only to be woken up by the doorbell at 5 in the morning...
