Lewis's POV:

"Come on guys, we're picking up a slow pace."

"It's because you decided to pick us altogether!"

Really, flying has its own disadvantages. "You know, you made flying a lot boring." Dane said. "It's not my fault we look like we're playing a barrel of monkeys here." I told them. "No, it's actually your fault, Lewis. Why didn't you pick us up one by one?" Avery said. He's got a point, but I won't dare to lose! "Because it's a bother." I said. We finally arrived on the house where I left Madeline. "Lewis!" She waved her hand. "So, where now?" I asked her. "This house. This is where they live." She said excitedly. "That's great!" Joy exclaimed. Dane noticed something and was scratching his head.

"Isn't this the governor's house?"

"Governor?!"

A woman went out of the house. She's probably the Governor's wife! Ms. Liana Coleman. "Um, are you still there?" Madeline stuck out her head to a view Mrs. Coleman can see. "Yes! My friends are with me." She said. "Friends?" She said, doubting. "Yes ma'm!" Joy exclaimed and the rest of us stuck our heads out. "Oh! The ladder I sent for is here." She exclaimed, and a bunch of men carried the ladder and we made our way down. "H-how did a bunch of teenagers ended up on our roof?" Mrs. Coleman asked. Madeline can't seem to respond. She might be a little intrigued. "Ah, that's because we were playing trampoline, and we decided to stay up on the roof, but the trampoline got moved out so we can't go down." I made up an excuse. "Oh." She said and smiled.

"If you want, you can have a slight break in my house."

"Ye-yes! We're honored."

Dane seemed like he was hyperventilating, and Avery was keeping him calmed. "Lots of people come for us if they have any problems." Mrs. Coleman said as she showed us around the house. "Just sit here. We can talk for a bit, hmm?" We nodded. "She's really kind!" Madeline whispered to me. "Yeah." I whispered back. She served us tea, and poured them herself. "Why were you playing trampoline outside the house?" She asked. "Not to be rude, but our parents were not home." Avery stood up with the made up excuse. "It's nice to be young. If my daughter were here, I'm guessing she's the same age as you, children." Madeline gasped. I think she wants to say it.

"W-why did you say 'if my daughter were here' what did you mean?"

"I gave her away."

Madeline clenched her fists. "But why?!" She shouted. I think she can't handle it. "Let me tell you why. It was against my will, of course. But I was sick then. And, a friend of mine -she was my friend- told me of a herb that can heal me. Fortunately, it healed me even before I gave birth to my daughter. The moment I did, that woman made a deal with me, which I never agreed on. I slept with my daughter every night to avoid the deal. But one night, she appeared and took my daughter away. We sent some men to find her whereabouts, but she wasn't found. We decided not to give up, but the securities already did. It was never my intention." She cried and so did Madeline.

"Sorry for being too emotional. Wherever she is, I hope she's doing fine."

"No... she's not doing well with her new family!"

Mrs. Coleman was confused. "W-what? You've met her?" She asked. "More than that, even though she's not doing well with her family, she's got friends to support her throughout!" Joy exclaimed. "Yeah! She's an optimistic person." Dane said. "Also, completely positive." Avery said. "You didn't meet her, but we got the chance to. She's a kind-hearted girl, and you deserve to meet her." Joy, Dane and Avery made that teasing expression at me. I glared at them.

"Who is she? Where did you meet her?"

"She's right before your very eyes."

Madeline cried so hard, and Mrs. Coleman was confused, but she smiled and cried too. "Alex...?" Madeline smiled and her mother went ahead and hugged her tight. They cried, and we four left the room. "Where's the Governor?" Dane asked me. "Who knows? But I'm sure Madeline got what she deserved." I said. That's right. She has it already.

A perfect, and normal family who will love her.
